Trump and the GOP tried to get the workers paid although the Government was shut down - the Democrats voted it down 4 times..
An interesting claim, Mechie and your evidence for it is, what exactly?

(CNSNews.com) - House Republican leaders said Thursday that only 13 Democrats joined with them in voting for legislation to pay all federal government workers - those working during the shutdown and those who are furloughed.

“As the shutdown continues, we’ve been committed to trying to make sure that all of our federal workers get paid. We brought another bill to the floor today that would have paid all federal workers. Last week, a similar bill only got six Democrats. Every Republican voted to pay the workers who had either been working or furloughed during the shutdown," House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) said during a Capitol Hill press conference.

Why the Wall/Fence proposed by Trump will not work:
  • More than 110 migrants scaled the border barrier in Arizona on Monday, using a ladder provided by a smuggler, the Customs and Border Protection agency said.
  • In the video, migrants can be seen climbing one-by-one to the top of the fence, then dropping down on the US side using what appears to be a rope.
  • A similar incident occurred in the same sector just days earlier, when 376 migrants used seven tunnels to bypass the border fence.
  • Critics of President Donald Trump have pointed out that the episodes show the flaws in his plan to build a border wall.

Why is it only reported in a site which was originally called "Conservative News Service," Mechie? MMmm? Yeah, sure, "balanced news reporting," right?

So what? It acts as a deterrent. Some get through but many do not.

Do you have a fenced yard Brian? If you do I suggest you pull it down right now to demonstrate that you are happy to allow all and sundry free and unfettered access to your property. Hell, put up a welcome sign while you are at it

How many front fences are there in Canberra, Black Orchid?

Fences are there, like locks to keep honest people out of a person's property which they delineate. As far as I am concerned, I have two side fences. No front nor back fence. Funny that, hey?

Trumps wall/fence will fail. He just wants a monument to his ego. You want him to have one. Go for it. I'll just sit by and laugh as my stocks in the ladder building business and the tunnel boring business in Mexico go up and up. 8-)

What's that got to do with the price of fish?

Are you a resident of the Aboriginal Tent Embassy, Brian? No fences there! No lavatories either. The pong is great if you are downwind. :rofl

I last visited the Aboriginal Tent Embassy two years ago, Neferti. I didn't detect any smell. Are you you aren't bullshitting? A not unusual problem for you.
