As to why you feel you have to mention China in a discussion about US-Mexico trade relations, I have absolutely no idea except it appears to demonstrate that you are desperate to deflect the discussion.
if you don't understand why I mentioned China and in regards to a level playing field, then there's no explaining anything to you.

We need a big wall around Canberra.
Put all the pollies, abbos, suds and muzzos inside the wall.
Shoot any who try and escape.
Then feed them pork and heavily sugared and salted food in abundance.

Wait for the heart attacks
This precludes pollies as they have no hearts, but the muzzos and suds will wipe them out anyway.

Problem solved
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

We don't need a wall around CANBERRA, just around PARLI HOUSE, because the pollies do NOT live in Canberra, they visit when Parliament is sitting. I have lived in Canberra since 1981 and have never, ever seen a politician "in the flesh" ... I haven't even seen the local yokels (the ACT lot). Lucky, aren't I?

im not sure what you can't see with your cherry picked list

for one - Levelling the auto playing field will save 10s of thousands of jobs in the US and allow them to compete "nearly" equally against its partners.

America sells more cars.

So it keeps American jobs in America which means the taxes stay in America from those companies

It also allows more components to be made in the US instead of say - being imported from China
'
keeps 10s of thousands of jobs in America and taxes from those companies stays in America

Companies are already coming back into America - Taxes stay in America

Canada had something like 120% Tariffs on the US dairy industry - now playing field levelling = more exports for farmers more wealth for America

Intellectual property being stolen or used - by extending the terms of copyright to 70 years will keep American companies protected and jobs stay in America = Taxes stay in America for longer

Steel industries are firing back up and/or news ones being built - wealth being created in the US, American workers going back to work and off the unemployment benefits and food stamps'

then those workers spend their money in America - Tax cuts allows them to keep more of THEIR money - which goes back into the economy creating even more jobs and wealth.

im not sure why this is so hard for you to understand Brian - Trump is levelling out a lopsided playing field and we are already seeing the benefits and wealth being created

correcting the Trade imbalances will keep money in America and IT WILL PAY FOR THE WALL MANY TIMES OVER
See actually addressing the points isn't as hard as you appeared to believe they would be, Serial, now was it?

So, Serial, what effectively you are saying is that America, not Mexico, will pay for the wall? I note no mention of how money was to be extracted from Mexico to pay for the wall.

As to why you feel you have to mention China in a discussion about US-Mexico trade relations, I have absolutely no idea except it appears to demonstrate that you are desperate to deflect the discussion.

Now, how is this not a betrayal by Trump of his election promise that he would make Mexico pay for the wall? Well?

Pretty much the same thing is happening in the UK with Corbyn refusing to negotiate with May.
Jeremy Corbyn will not talk to Theresa May unless she agrees to rule out a no-deal Brexit. The UK Labour leader will get a cheer whenever he says this publicly over the next few days, because it sounds like he is merely insisting that leaving without a withdrawal agreement should not be an option regarding Britain’s exit from the EU.

But that is not at all he is saying. What he really means is that there are no circumstances in which Labour will offer the prime minister any votes. He knows May cannot rule out no deal at this stage, just as she cannot be seen to be compromising in plain sight with Corbyn. It should not be so, but it is. And by refusing to participate in private discussions, Corbyn knows full well he is pushing May further in the direction of the hard Brexiters within her party, making no deal much more likely.
It's the leftie way. I will NOT negotiate and it's my way or the highway. Stuff the people! wahhhhhhh waaahhhh wahhhhh wahhhh wahhhhh

is Pelosi on Crack?
NOT a Joke: Pelosi Proposes “Electronic Dogs” to Protect the Border… WTH is She On?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) lashed out at President Trump’s agenda to build a wall to secure the southern border recently saying, “A wall is an immorality.”

What Nancy Pelosi does support is lawnmowers and electronic dogs.

Pelosi endorsed electronic dogs for the border earlier this week.

Support for a wall along the southern border has reached an all-time high since Donald Trump announced his plans for one, according to a new ABC and Washington Post poll released on Sunday.
Forty-two percent of Americans support the wall, up from 34 percent one year ago and up from the previous high of 37 percent in 2017.

The Washington Examiner reports, “With 54 percent, the majority of Americans polled still oppose building a border wall. However, that opposition is shrinking, as 63 percent opposed the wall a year ago and the previous low was 60 percent two years ago.”

The survey was released just one day before a new migrant caravan began its journey from Honduras to the United States and just months after the first caravan reached the U.S.-Mexico border.

In November, migrants from the original caravan attempted to storm the U.S. border, prompting U.S. Border Patrol to temporarily close the San Ysidro Port of Entry.
Last week, a Politico and Morning Consult poll found that a whopping 79 percent of Americans believe there is either a “crisis” or a “problem” at the U.S. border.

In December alone, U.S. border agents apprehended a record number of family units– 27,518. They were among a total of 60,728 migrants attempting to illegally cross the border last month.

As President Trump pointed out in his address to the nation last week, “In the last two years, I.C.E. Officers made 266,000 arrests of aliens with criminal records including those charged or convicted of 100,000 assaults, 30,000 sex crimes, and 4,000 violent killings.”

NOTE: This post has been updated to clarify that support for the border wall has reached an all time high since President Trump proposed the construction of one.
