They get a growth spurt if it is humid for a while, does not rain, but I water them from the tap. They get a real growth spurt if there is a thunderstorm, because of the nitrogen it precipitates. If I water them from a tap on a hot dry, windy day, the soil is dry again soon after. And this is without even considering how much water is involved.

Do you expect me to believe that in amongst all that noise, you can pick the effect of chlorine from tap water?

Yes, that is what I have seen for well over a decade.
Even after a light sprinkle of rain, plants all perk up, look keen, flower and fruit.

unless you got onto the Subsidies Labor Governments were handing out..

I received both Federal and State Subsidies to put in my 5000 ltr tank...

so about $1600 back which cost me $1800 to set up...

I did all of the purchasing and most of the work to install the tank/pump etc... just had to get the plumbers in to put piping in my roof and give me a certificate so that I could claim the rebates...
