a bet a lot of our interstate friends havent heard of it either......we seem to have a long weekend every couple of weeks or so///

The ACT will celebrate its first Reconciliation Day in May 2018.

The public holiday will replace September’s Family and Community Day. It will take place on the first Monday on or after 27 May each year, the anniversary of the 1967 referendum and the first day of National Reconciliation Week.

we have more public holidays in ACT than anywhere else in OZ... I mean we even have Canberra Day so you poor people have Sydney Day or Adelaide Day?? always on a Monday of course...I can never figure how that works....

do not forget Canberra tried to make gay marriage legal long before the postal???....we try to get on with everybody.. we also voted Yes for the Republic....these are rather belated rewards...

next week it could be Tranny Day....I am sure it will get reds approval....
