I can understand the 90+ year olds being on The List but why the people in their 50s?

There seems to be more people dying in their 50s, 60s and very early 70s lately than anyone else.

OK. I have now Googled the names. They are on The List because ....
Former Emmerdale star Leah Bracknell has wed her long-term partner in a quiet ceremony as she continues to battle lung cancer.
LINDA NOLAN has candidly opened up about her biggest regret in life following her shock terminal breast cancer diagnosis, 11 years after she’d initially battled the disease and gone into remission.
Paul John Gascoigne is an English former professional football player and manager. He is also known by his nickname, Gazza. Mental illness and alcoholism
Right! Let's wait and see who else drops off the tree in 2018.

Gosh, who would want to live until they are 102?

I am self sufficient and I certainly do NOT want to live to 100.

Many years ago, a friend talked me into going for a "reading" ... some "famous" bloke who predicted your future ... can't recall the name. Anyway, I went along. Apart from a lot of "guess work" he picked up that I was a smoker ... shock, horror (this was about 1983) and told me, in no uncertain terms that I could "live until I am 96 but smoking would cut 10 years off my life". My reply? Guess. :rofl

I just want to go when I am not lucid anymore and cannot look after myself. That could be 60 or 100.

Regardless of what anybody says ... when your time is up, your time is up.

Nobody in my family (both parent's side) has had Alzheimers. I have Aunts in their late 90s, still driving and doing their own groceries and house cleaning. Stubborn lot. No teenagers on drugs. All very Middle Class.

I guess we can tick them off as they go and see how accurate it is at the end of the year.

No offence about your Aunts but that is one thing that really riles me. 80/90 plus people should not be allowed to drive as they are a hazard. They need mobility scooters NOT cars 8-)
