My ex-husband wanted to wear the frocks but thought it below him to actually do what he considered "women's work".
He, like most males, thought he was a great cook but he made so much mess (and didn't bother to wash up) that I banned him from the Kitchen. The only thing he did was mow the grass. I, for some unknown reason, never learned to turn the Victa on, otherwise I probably would have ended up doing that chore too.
He was, however, a "good provider" but thought a women's place was in the home. He was a lot older than me and I think he got his ideas about "marriage" and who did what from his late Father, whom I never met.

As far as I can gather from people from his childhood, his Mother wanted a girl, and there were family photos of him (aged perhaps 4) dressed as a "Bride" of all things.
Anyway, one shouldn't speak ill about the dead, should one?
