Imagine just how many Earth like planets must exist and in turn how many must support life?
I'm not sure we will ever make "contact" with any though.
Given the light years distance these planets must be from Earth either those life forms would need to be massively more advanced than ours or we will need to invent a new way of travel/communication in order to connect.
