I doubt very much it has anything to do with an early election.A.G wrote:A budget that suggests an early election- they aren't fooling anyone are they-? I also doubt it will be enough to erase all the broken promises and lies -

Good to see you admit it' must be a great budget if you think it's suitable to go to an election. What a shame that your political nous is on par with Monk and Aussie for being consistently wrong on everything politically. Although I expect that being wrong carries over into every aspect of your miserable life.

Re: 2015 Budget
No complaints here. Actually I'm reasonably impressed. Cutting the tax rate for small to medium enterprises from 30% to 28.5% is not the cut to 25% I suggested, but still good all the same.
The cutting of red tape on superannuation accounts (particularly lost accounts being transfered to ATO, so the fund holders can't dwindle it away in fees) is IMO excellent.
And holding the compulsory contributions at 9% rather than increasing to 12% also gets my tick of approval. Because while I admit compulsory super sounds good in theory, I don't trust the industry as far as I could kick their heads.
I'm not sure that throwing money at the child care industry is a good thing, but then I'm not a breeder. So I won't criticise the move, because I just don't know enough about the implicated issues.
Y'know I used to put shit on Tony Abbot when part of John Howard's crew, and even made jokes regarding what a comedy act 'Abbott & Costello' would make when Howard bows out.
But if he (and Joe Hockey for that matter too) keep up their performance in the manner they have been, I might have to register to vote just to help keep them at the helm, lest the ALP's incompetent pirates gain control and get their grubby mits on our treasure again.

If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Correction - One complaint. Throwing money at the ABC is a bad idea.Outlaw Yogi wrote:No complaints here.
I grew up with the TV dial virtually welded to channel 2, and am glad for it.
Back then the ABC had good docos and reasonable current affairs programes.
But these days the ABC is so partisan their jounalistic integrity is nil and should be sold.
Judith Sloan, Peter van Olsen, and Janet Albertstein (The Australian) should get with the programe and stop whinging. Would they prefer the ALP's incompetence?
And Alan Kholer, the only financial/bussiness commentator I've ever bothered to listen to, because he spoke common sense and reduced technical jargon to layman's terms, to claim this budget will have no effect suggests he's losing his touch.
But then I've noticed his articles have become quite trivial of late.
Recently he wrote about the demise of neck ties in the corporate sector for fuck's sake.
AFAIC, suit and ties are testament to homofuxuals influence over conservative culture.
He may as well be writing about fucking ballet.

You are so right. I do recall that if you tuned into the ABC you tended to have to stay on that Channel as the Commercial channels started programs on the hour/half hour and Our ABC were 10-15 minutes off (no ads, remember?) so you either missed the end of something on the ABC or the beginning of something on 7, 9 or 10.Outlaw Yogi wrote:Correction - One complaint. Mal Turnbull should be transferred to the Old People's Portfolio. Why he is still hanging around is anybody's guess. He will NEVER EVER by Prime Minister and he and Lucy(?) should just get on with walking the dogs and champagne parties and so forth.

Hope you're right. He's certainly the most intelligent in our parliament, but has a really dodgey agenda - Water privatisation.Neferti~ wrote:
