True, but i'm seriously doubting a spill will eventuate.

Just Turncoat (Malcolm Turnbull) kite flying I suspect.

I see that Barnaby Joyce is stating that the National's support is not unconditional!

Let's hope that a majority of Coalition Members get behind Tony Abbott. The MSN is to blame for all this rubbish and really pissing me off. I gave up watching the TV evening News years ago when KRudd's head was on every night. I am about to stop reading the online newspapers as well. :rofl

The entire affair is absolutely ridiculous, Turnbull probably purchased the WA members calling for the spill a sports car each.

Look, if you think Abbotts unpopular .... the vast majority of the party hate Turnbull more, so if he's their alternative....good luck with that.
Posters on Bolt's site (and elsewhere) ... your average Liberal Party voters who are rusted ons, have said that they would vote INFORMAL if Turnbull became the PM. I AGREE. I will NOT vote for Turnbull (or Bishop).

The problem is that the MSM has Tony Abbott in their sights, since he won the Election, and are attacking him, relentlessly and most of the voting population have no clue and follow what the Media says when it comes to Voting Day.

Compulsory voting should cease and preferential voting also. People preference one Party and then idiots like The Sex Party or whatever get in on "preferences" when they have 2% of the vote, to be a Senator, deciding on what Legislation should go through for AUSTRALIA? Absolutely ridiculous. I doubt these people can manage their own credit card.

Oh, Aussie stated (over there) that he had emailed/phoned the Box-headed ex-Football player, PUP Senator. Who is so dopey, I am surprised he survives the day-to-day hassle of getting out of bed in the morning. Honestly!

Neither party is over flowing with suitable and inspiring candidates.

I don't think Abbott has anything to worry about, it's just Malcolm in the middle again.

Believe me, they hate Malcolm Turnbull more.

Oh, boo fucking hoo. All of a sudden, now that it's happening to the Libs, it all becomes the ebil media's fault, while at the same time moaning about how Labor's leadership problems where all of their own making

What a congaline of suckholes team Abbott are trotting out. Looks like they want to stick with someone who is obviously stuck in opposition mode, and their biggest "selling point" is still "we're not Labor". Time to move on, and do something with the power you were so desperate for, rather than continuing to be the NOalition.

You can always bring Abbott back if you lose the next election.

BTW, only people in Abbott's seat actually voted for him. The rest of the country voted for either their local member, or the party (or more likely, against Labor) :P

Furthermore, Australian voters felt ripped off when they voted a Rudd and ended up with a Gillard.

I doubt they will stand for the same this time round.

Australians voted for Abbott, and this is exactly what they should get.

I will personally resent anything less should the party override my vote and install a Malcolm Turncoat.

This rubbish is not normal for the Liberals. This is Labor crap. Brought on by the consistent rubbishing of Tony Abbott in the Media.

The General Public really doesn't care or take notice of this stuff, but .... when it comes to Election Time, they do listen and watch what is being said about "personalities".

I have never met Tony Abbott (nor John Howard) but Tony comes across as a genuinely nice family man. He's a catholic and I am an agnostic but I wouldn't hold that against him.

I tend to agree with Mantra that his daughters look rather "horsey" but they are decent kids. His wife still works (childcare), she doesn't show up to wave to the crowds at photo-ops, like the Rudd wife and family did and we can't forget Gillard's "beard" lapping it up at every opportunity. Man's Shed anyone? What happened to that?

OK, so Tony has been making decisions (as PM) without consultation? Who said that? He would have, undoubtedly, passed/discussed his ideas to his Deputy (Bishop). Many people don't understand the hierarchy in the public domain. There are unwritten "rules".

Exactly, which is why I would be very surprised if a spill eventuates.
