Is he?

When I first heard about this I thought that perhaps it was that Sydney Muslim Dad who lost his daughter in the ME (she died) and was blaming Tony Abbott for NOT stopping her from going over their to "fight" for Islam. Geeze.
That was reported on Ten and Seven news but the ABC being ever so PC reported they would not disclose the gunmans demands. The ABC said hostages had texted all the major news outlets during the day but most were not reporting it as they didn't want to give up too much info. Apparently he has has said he will release five hostages if Abbott speaks with him.
I know I bag Abbott but I feel sorry for him tonight imagine being in that predicament.

He wants the ISIS flag, to talk to Tony Abbott in real time and he wants to contact his 'brothers' who apparently have 5 more bombs around the city. He wants to tell them not to let the bombs off. Apparently.

My son is getting this off social media and he told me about the flag and Abbott an hour before it was reported on tv. Who knows.

I only heard the news late this afternoon. There was obviously very little activity, but lots of media coverage. He's probably on his own and making a statement by the looks of it.

That's not PC. That's a decision not to report in ways that are unhelpful to the people trying to resolve this.

They could go a lot further as well, by not showing footage (until this is over) of where and what the police are doing (at least close to the building), and not showing escapes in almost real time.

Were you hung-over/comatose or what? EVERYBODY knew about it, since it first happened .... even kids at school, etc.

Yet, even though you never saw anything on TV, or heard about this until "late this afternoon" you still seem to have a Birds Eye View and an In Depth idea and knowledge of what happened. I am sure that The Authorities will be most interested in your amazing talent. Do call them and offer your services.

I got that wrong. It's 2 'brothers' not 5.

That's a rather pathetic and shall I say typical biased hateful LW prog attitude.
