Because despite claims to the contrary, it hasn't stopped.

Some claim it has abated, but I don't believe it for a poofteenth of a nanosecond.

I admit earth axial change (which is constant but has doubled in speed in recent years) probably plays quite a big part in the scheme of things, but CO2 [+ CH4 from undersea clathrates] has increased considerably in recent years, and so when the full impact hits, most of you will melt without 3 phase air con.

I'll real simple for you'ze .. Y'see it's like when you were a teen at the school dance or a night club ... all those organisms jumping around making CO2 ... and then all of a sudden it's stinking hot, the air con can't cope and the bouncers have to open all the doors.

This claim that GW has halted has been peddled before, and even went as far as to say the Earth was cooling.

Carbon tax is just a way to make money out of the right to pollute more than we already do now.

I am concerned that the scientific community need to get their shit together. I am not sure the IPCC is the right forum and I think their methods are under question. Return the science to normal peer review has got to be considered or the debate will never reach is serious conclusion and the actions we need to take will never be implemented.

Return the analysis to the scientists and their process without political interference.
Politics to make an informed decision and align the world to action. (if required)
Taxation just now is not valid without an understanding of the problem and a real plan to address the problem. Changing behaviour is not going to happen through taxation alone... it maybe one instrument but not an effective one as the only instrument.
