A few extra smaller parties got in.
Your old mate Palmer won Fairfax.
Did you see him on Sunrise accusing Murdoch’s wife of being a Chinese Spy?
You know what I think Roach?
I think Clive Palmers fat has mobilised and travelled to his brain.
Lost the plot is an understatement.

You mel... are an idiot!!!
I think Palmer is an idiot.
I think he's a loose cannon... before you tell people who my mates/friends are, or what I think in future, please actually read what I've written before you mouth off. That saves me correcting you and people knowing you thinking your an
dolt.
I'll have to call yo a mong... if you don't get it right.

I sprayed my cup of tea into my keyboard when I watched that Sunrise interview Roach.... the part when Clive said, " that’s their problem" when Carl questioned him re- his employees fears of being sacked if they didn’t volunteer their spare time to help their boss Clive Palmer out at the polls today.

..... He earned the seat of Fairfax with that remark alone.
Gold!

I don't even watch Clive Palmer or listen to him you dolt... I leave the room or just turn off.
BTW so far I haven't heard he's won any seat yet.... it's going down to preferences.
BILLIONAIRE Clive Palmer believes he will win the seat of Fairfax on preferences and says he will use it as a platform to win over Australia at the next election.
Mr Palmer, who whipped up his own party in four months, was jubilant and already looking to the future.
"By winning the seat of Fairfax we can win the entire country over the next three years," he said.
like I said... so far no win... as for the rest the man is an idiot.

Looks like Hanson-Young is gone (unless lots of preferences save her) and Arthur Sinodonis hasn't quite got a quota yet, so he's in trouble needing preferences.

Yep, Abbotts done very well...not that there was ever any doubt.
He's inherited a mess, so it's not going to be a walk in the park.

I knew Tasmanians would punish the Greens, my parents were down there holidaying not all that long ago and said everywhere they went people were whinging about the Greens, how they had caused the fires ...(wouldn’t let them back-burn apparently)...had killed their logging industry and turned the place into a over-40's retirement village due the the mass exodus of their kids who have fled to the mainland because there’s just no work there for youth in Tasmania.
Sad....the greens stuffed the place.

Kids have always left Tasmania because there's never been work for them there unless they want to go into the logging industry. They don't want to be lumberjacks. Now the Liberals can order that those 1000 year old trees be razed to the ground for woodchips to send to Japan so they can make toilet paper and send it back to us.

Mantra, the Greens' primary vote is down 8.5 per cent in Tasmania almost matching Labor's fall of 9 per cent.
This suggests that Tasmanians were not happy with either of them.
Tasmanians want jobs Mantra, and resent the Greens for turning them into a giant national park.

The Greens vote is down in Tasmania because Bob Brown has left. The loggers have got jobs, but yes they want more. Why don't we just open Australia up to the whole world and strip it of every tree and every mineral so that the multinationals can make even greater profits?
The Greens are back to what they were in 2007 and is it any surprise? Abbott ensured he did such a good hatchet job on them that no-one preferenced them. The 8.5% are primary votes alone and that isn't too bad considering the media witch hunt. The media decides who our leaders are going to be. We're just the sheep who believe them.
Yes it's all very well and good that between Rupert Murdoch and Abbott they've annihilated their opposition - but you won't be saying that in a couple of years when Abbott's mandate takes full effect. Abbott got where he is through sheer pugilism. He's a violent and aggressive man - better in the boxing ring than he will be running a country.
We need healthy political opposition to run a country. When Howard finally got his mandate - the country was in an uproar. Remember he was the first prime minister to lose his seat?
