You have to wonder what's happening to him. I was listening to Andrew Bolt the other night on the radio and he was subtly taunting Abbott in regard to the most regressive words I've heard come out of his mouth yet. Abbott was trying to formulate a new slogan which he'd plagiarised off some RW guru - about Rudd running the guilty party. It was embarrassing listening to him. He could hardly get the words out and he sounded brain damaged in his speech as though he'd had a stroke. How is he supposed to communicate with diplomats and the people etc. if he wins?
My bet is that if Abbott wins the election - he'll be given the shove after a few months and replaced with Turnbull. You can see it coming.
Bloody hell mantra I had to sit through 2 nights of Price and Bolt before I found it.
last Thursday.

unfortunately I cannot in the least agree with your summary of what was said or went on. tsk, tsk, tsk...
No taunting of Abbott.
Someone in Abbotts office heard the "advice" Bolt was giving the libs and thought it was a good idea. Obviously Credlin thought it was a good idea and Abbott ran with it. Apparently it worked for kennett in the past. The idea is sound. But the prosecution was lame.
no he didn't sound brain damaged and he had no trouble getting his words out.
nor was there any sign of "regression"
I'm afraid you are letting your hatred and bias get the better of you.
I have no doubt they will drop this form of exposition in future.
far easier ways to prosecute the facts re Rudd's past failures of which there are many.

I live right in his Electorate, (Fairfax) and tomorrow night, I'll be attending a function as his Guest.....well, that's not entirely true, because the tight arse would not shout the accommodation, even though I did get a pretty decent discount. But, I will be drinking his grog, eating his food, even at the same table as he, and I will also pick up a birthday gift for darko.
I'll report back on that.

Federal Election 2013: Kevin Rudd's campaign appears disorganised seasoned watchers say.
KEVIN Rudd's campaign has hit early turbulence with a key marginal seat candidate likely to be disqualified for a Labor Party blow-in.
In a further sign of campaign problems, the Prime Minister's office has issued an urgent plea for volunteers to answer phones - a move that has triggered concerns over Mr Rudd's readiness for the campaign.
Solicitor Trevor Drake - selected for the seat of Dobell, held by disgraced MP Craig Thomson - is expected to be replaced by Labor's national executive within days.
The move will be a major embarrassment for Labor whose chances of retaining the NSW central coast seat have been damaged over Mr Thomson's long-running legal tussle.
Mr Drake - who was a member of the Liberal Party before switching political allegiances - suggested he'd been muzzled by ALP's head office.
WILL LOWER RATES CHANGE YOUR VOTE?
Dobell - held by a margin of 5.07 per cent - is one of four federal seats which the ALP has still to preselect its election candidates for.
Seasoned advisers have also been surprised by an email issued by one of Mr Rudd's senior staff, calling for volunteers to answer phones and do other mundane tasks in the PM's office.
The email - sent to around 20 senior Government staff - conceded this "won't be the most popular request" received.
>snip<
Mr Evans said as a result of the "scope and frequency'' of scandals and alleged malpractice plaguing the Labor brand it needed to be "deconstructed and rebuilt over several years in Opposition''.
"I want a statesman with principle to represent us in parliament, a statesman wanting to represent the people that they serve and not just themselves.''

Tandberg points out the ultimate hypocrisy of Joe Hockey, shadow spokesbuffoon on something or other:
Not that it is a new tax, for starters!
The taxes collected from smokers go nowhere near covering the huge expense of looking after smokers as emphysema and cancer (of lips, mouth, trachea, lungs and bowels) rob smokers first of quality of life then of life. Loss of productivity, medical costs, the terrible toll on family of the smoker etc etc.
If you smoke, you need to stop! The way to do that is to cut down on the number of smokes while you find a motivation to quit. Find the right motivation and stopping smoking will be easy, patches and fake cigarettes not needed. Said motivation should not be health—obsess about the health effects of smoking and you find you have increased your rate of smoking. Anyway, my reformed smoker spiel for the day.

I don't think he's outstanding... but then you'd have to know the history of the area and the seat to know why he's there.
Well, it is self evident he must be the best they have to choose from. His grasp of LNP Policy was simply breath-taking, Abbott like. Did you observe that when he finally realised that the Reporter was not going to let the bone go, he resorted to the Abbott/Gillard, "I've already answered that." He has clearly been schooled on the slogans, but the LNP tutors let him down on details, maybe because there isn't any.
