Why must something be done when the inputs and outcome are unknown?

What do you think should be done?

Unfortunately SN and co are a tad biased and don't assimilate current info too well.

We have slipped out of the predicted temp range now. As was pointed out quite a while ago.
Global temps are going sideways not up.

This is all part of a long, slow process of climate change. Our planet had gone through several global changes in the past several billion years, and will continue the process for another several billion years before the sun expands into a red giant and engulfs the inner rocky planets.

The global climate has now warmed up from the last ice age, and will continue to warm slowly and steadily.

This does not simply cause the weather to get hotter, instead it will cause the weather to get more erratic, and there will be pockets of micro climates happening in different parts of the world, some blistering hot and desert dry and others cold and wet and freezing.

No carbon tax will do a damn thing to change this process. Doesn't matter that human industrialization has possibly had at least some small influence across the world in the past century or so.

We are dealing with the titanic forces of a planet, in constant change over billions of years.

We'll have a lot more ice ages before the Sun engulfs us

So, we have another billion years before the World blows up? Fine by me. I will be long gone. What do the bible bashers say about that? "Heaven" is undoubtedly nothing to do with this?

Yawn

We should not be charged for breathing. Simple.

Titanic? Wrong analogy. The Titanic SUNK, remember?

Yes, billions of years and plenty of time for the cycles to repeat. We humans think everything we do is so important, but we aren't that important. The planet can survive anything we do to it, even nuclear war.

The planet can survive just about anything, nukes, asteroid and comet strikes, and the life cycle will always come back.

Our species won't, but many others will have a chance to thrive and maybe even evolve to intelligence, whenever the time comes.

BS. The Monkey Man has gotten to you. He is NOT a normal Aussie. He is still Netherlands.

Imagine that in the US of A, some person from MEXICO/Spain/Argentina/Somewhere in Europe, etc migrates with his parents when he is 6-10 years old and doesn't speak English but eventually does. You call them HISPANICS don't you?

Monk is a ? Unlike America, Aussies do NOT classify migrants by their parents birth place.
