What is the estimated ROI on this investment?

More than the ALPs model...but less than what it would have been if it had been built by the private sector as it should have been in the first place.
When the previous tenants decided to spend all their rent money then shit on the floor and rub it into the carpet, the new owners were forced to work around the stain.

So there is an ROI. This investment will pay off. And all the fuss is about a "stain" and how some money would have been better spent.

Agreed, a NBN should have been built by the private sector not only to keep the service cost competitive but to ensure the quality of the service remains competitive also.
Effectively, both Turnbulls and Conroys NBN's are hopeless, we need a better model.
I like the idea of Fibre funded by the private sector.
Then and only then will we see Australia form one of the top 10 best internet services world wide, right now, we rank about 30.
South Korea ranks number 1....and given Asian countries density, many of their nations provide the best and fastest, as well as cheapest services in the world...regardless of the fact that only one Asian nations internet service ranks as the worlds worst, no guessing who!!

If we want to remain competitive within the Asian Pacific region, then we need to evolve, and quickly.
Face it, neither Liberals or Labors NBN plan is adequate.
America needs to evolve also, as both western nations have let their nations and economies down by providing an expensive inferior service.
So.... Labors product plus Liberals business plan (privatise it) = a Winner!!!
Just my opinion of course.

Re: National Broadband Network
Pretty much.
The fuss is really from little Bratty McBratterson that really really wants his new toy GI Joe and it has to be the big dolly with the aqualung and the remote control plane in the bonus package
Brattys dad has just been demoted and had a pay cut so told Bratty that at the moment they can't really afford to get the big dolly with all the gear right now so how about they get the big dolly by itself for now and later on they can buy the aqualung pack and plane because next year the aqualung and plane will be probably be upgraded anyway because the movie is coming out and besides, the bonus package is not in stock and the store has no idea when it will be coming in.
Bratty immediately threw himself on the floor, flailing his arms and legs and screaming that it HAS to be that one RIGHT THERE! Ihateyouihateyouihateyouihateyou whyareyousomeanwahhhhhhsobbbbbsnivel

Still, the Libs NBN policy needs to go back to the drawing board, was released too soon, and was clumsy, seriously IQS, cooking on the old copper stove is a big fail.IQS.RLOW wrote:Pretty much.

So far it isn't living up to expectations and the take up rate is abysmal.
So so far there is none.

Did ANYONE check the post I made? It shows pictures of the massive amount of stuff you have to have on a wall, somewhere at your house, to get this "fast internet".
