OK, Skip.

I don't know what the Fine is for Federal Elections but I paid $20, happily, some years ago in an ACT bi-election. There was no Liberal Party candidate. I even rang the local Liberal party and they told me to vote for the "independent" who used to be a Liberal. Get real.

If you don't "like" any of the candidates in your Electorate, don't vote for them. Simple. They care less about you, too. :thumb

Realise, too, Skip, that I can NOT vote for Abbott ....

Obviously working on her back in a legal brothel and has to declare the income.
Coupled with selling ounces, she probably has a nice campaign fund next to the stash

I'm always a little wary of these disenfranchised break-away little partys IQ's...because more often than not, they pass their preferences onto those they claim to like the "least' purely out of spite to piss-off their former partys members, that or do a back-flip just before the election and end up passing them onto the party they originated from...though claimed to detach from. :roll

Rudds a commy dictator, fancies himself as a bit of a Asian-pacific region pre-warlord ... is power hungry and UN subservient, and don't be fooled by his false-contempt for ex- communist party member Gillard (his words apparently)
http://www.news.com.au/national-news/ka ... 6281606132..... it's just to appear as though he's upset with Labors union right faction, when in fact, it's all part of the Ruddagilly agreement (not unlike Keatings and Hawkes own Kirribilli agreement) executed by their king makers Shorten, Arbib, Farrell and Feeney who were involved in the replacement of Rudd as leader of the Labor Party and Prime Minister by Julia Gillard.... though needed to make it appear that it wasn't planned, so had to instruct Rudd and Gillard to appear critical of each other, or else Australians might ask, whats the point in having elections when a nations vote is irrelevant with respects to who ultimately gets to be leader.

It was alleged that Arbib and Feeney were who persuaded Gillard to agree to challenge Rudd for the Labor leadership, these two men are among a small group known in our media as "the faceless men."

In other reports, it was alleged Shorten was who went and saw Gillard and told her to knife Rudd.

Truth is... Gillard and Rudd knew the deal, had rehearsed their roles, and both are/were simply keeping Shortens chair warm until it's time for him to make his grand entrance.

Mere sensationalist conspiracy theory?
Ms Gillard refused to confirm or deny the account.

As she has before, Ms Gillard would not elaborate on what was said on the night before she became prime minister - a confidence she intends to keep until the day she dies.

‘‘I intend to respect that confidence for the rest of my life,’’ Ms Gillard told the press club.

But Opposition Leader Tony Abbott said Ms Gillard should explain her role in Mr Rudd’s axing.

‘‘I think plainly, the prime minister has some explaining to do about what her exact role in the events of that night were,’’ he said in Brisbane.

While the ‘‘deal’’ was over before it was even finalised, it bears similarities to the Kirribilli pact between Bob Hawke and Paul Keating or the agreement witnessed by Ian McLachlan between John Howard and Peter Costello.

The question stunned political observers, but how the matter will resonate in the electorate remains to be seen.

Bill Shorten reminds me of Lord Farquaad, the main antagonist from the 2001 animated feature film Shrek.

He was a show bag back in his AWU organiser days ...and nothings changed.

IQ;s.... Labor is Labor, they are all quite treacherous, have a long history for knifing their own regardless of factional orientation political ideology, lean.

Labor needs to start again, hose down the walls, scrub the floors, appoint equal numbers from publicly declared factions, (lose the secret prick-club and Emilys list-powderoom factions...union-factions, and numerous lesser known stealth sub-factions ) .... because it's these divisive little insular factions that have gradually eroded the core of the Labor party as a whole.

By their own admission, Labor is no longer a singular party, entity...it's a dogs breakfast.
Labor's constitution states: "The Australian Labor Party is a democratic socialist party and has the objective of the democratic socialisation of industry, production, distribution and exchange, to the extent necessary to eliminate exploitation and other anti-social features in these fields."[1] This "socialist objective" was introduced in 1921, but has always been heavily qualified by wording which makes it clear that Labor supports private property.[2] It has been a dead letter since the 1940s, when the Chifley government failed to nationalise the private banks. Today Labor defines itself as "a coalition that includes reformers, radicals, progressives, social democrats and democratic socialists united by a critique of the inequalities in society, a commitment to a more just and equal society, and the achieving of this aim by democratic means."[3]
-Wiki

Sure they can break away and form new partys, but these little ineffective party's are designed to serve a short-term purpose, and once their objective has been met, win/lose...they usually disappear until the next election.

IQ's....

I don't think Rudd is leadership material, he's a tad neurotic and unstable, throws temper tantrums and is quite arrogant.

That earwax thingy was bazaar.... I think he's mildly autistic. His social skills, rather lack there of speaks for itself.

And when he's not abusing staff or colleagues, he's being passive aggressive or sulks.

Perhaps Rudd should join his nephew Van's party?

It seems, Neuroticism runs in the Rudd family....he's an odd-body, is he not?

Wonder if he's related to that Mark Rudd in the US, that weather underground loon?

Sorry, but I just don't think the Rudd genome is suited to domestic much less global politics.

Whats left of the larger party, they're so divided by factions and sub-factions how could any of them know for certain which colleagues to trust?

:roll

Hose down the walls, it;s a dogs breakfast.... their multiple divisive factions are whats killed it.

See, multiculturalism doesn't work.... re- the multiple ideologies and factions which has corroded their party's culture and morale.

Tell me, do they have an apple bobbing faction yet?

I know they have a dog-walking faction every other morning in Canberra. Pure breeds and designer doggy jackets only.

8-) Don't forget your poop'a'scoop.
