WA state election

As predicted, and where the ultimate result can be laid squarely at the feet of Gillard and which should be precursor to what is going to happen federally...

Labor has been absolutely fucking smashed :Hi

Big swing to the incumbent libs. Labor tried very hard to keep to local issues, electorate by electorate. Meanwhile team Colin kept tying things back to the federal labor mess. The result was always going to be a conservative government, but I think Julia has to put her hand up as responsible for the size of the swing away.

As much as I am a partisan hack, I sort of feel sorry for WA ALP- they are nowhere near as bad or corrupt as thos on the east coast but they still wear the technicolor shit coat and smell by association.

Although they did deserve to lose, they didn't deserve this thrashing

She's finished, I'm wondering when Labor will announce their next leadership challenge, before or after a federal election annihilation?

Mark McGowan is a decent bloke, he didnt deserve this flogging. He is just a victim of circumstance surrounded by and extraordinarily inept team. The thing that makes me very very very happy about this result is that the greens have been destroyed. They will hold a maximum of 2 seat in the upper house, more likley 1. This makes them just seat warmers with absolutly no power at all. It all goes to show that the public will see through an extremist view and fuck you off. The greens will soon slip away off the polictical lanscape Australia wide just like the democarats did. When that happens it will be a very happy day.
