Pretty shallow analysis.

Poor candidates—yup, including idiots spouting crap like pregnancy resulting from a rape was a miracle or something.

But why were the candidates so very, very poor? Because the Tea Party influence over the Repugs caused those candidates to be selected.

That is not what was said and I'm pretty sure it wasn't said by a presidential hopeful.

Why were they poor candidates? Well not specifically because of the tea party doofus. For one you gotta ask why would you waste a good candidate at this particular time when the economy is in such poor shape, it's gonna take a lot to pull it outa the poo. Why not leave it for Obama? He'll either put lots of people offside by trying to fix it or fail miserably, which will taint the Democrats either way.

Obama can't stand again. So the "oh heck lets give him one last chance" won't be there.

As for your opinion of my opinion... :rofl  :rofl  :rofl

Never said it was Mitt.

There were a handful of Congressmen said that sort of crap and they all lost their seats I am glad to say.

The rest of what you said is hogwash. Mitt was campaigning on election day itself, don’t tell me he didn’t want to be POTUS!

Jovial Monk wrote: The Repugs moved way too far to the right, under the influence of the Tea Party crazies. They also became way too Christian—people like Church and State separated. There is something about that even in their Constitution.

They offended just about every minority there was, Mitt rammed that home with his stupid speech about the 47%. Gays voted 80% for Obama, so did Hispanics, so did African Americans.

The Repugs became just the party for angry rich old white men.

The Democrats ground game, getting voters to register, getting voters to vote, to donate ran rings around the Repug one whose Orca software crashed on election day. Not going to elaborate all this, it is on my board, go read and get a little bit educated.

What have we here? A bunch of extreme Catholics in the Liberal Party, front and back benches full of tired old drones and hacks. The Leader despised by nearly 70% of the population and would tell young people how to run their lives based on doctrine from Rome!

This is not that hard. There are excellent sources of info about, I have a lot of them recorded in the “Useful Political Links” thread in my Political forum. But they contain long words.
In my opinion, the last really good Republican president we had was Dwight D. Eisenhower, January 20, 1953 to January 20, 1961,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwight_D._Eisenhower

I was a teenager then. I remember he was just right for the times, and there was a sense of stability and security. He was a Presbyterian, which is considered rather conservative, but he wasn't a religious fanatic and kept his administration focused on the issues that mattered.

In my opinion, the Grand Old Party isn't so grand anymore, and has degenerated and lost its focus these days.

Nixon the crook would have done a lot of damage to the GOP but the one who started the slide into lunacy was Reagan, turned the Repugs from a capitalist party to a neoconservative one.
