Perhaps Mantra. I dunno. What I do know is that the State and the Church are heading for the most massive confrontation, putting their historical and deeply held vested interests into a direct collision course of nuclear proportion.

The phone line to the Pope will be almost melting.
Haven't there been such thing in other countries before?

Didn't Ireland just have one that lasted 10 years?

Is the church broke?
Are there no more Catholics in Ireland?
Does the Pope answer the phone? :rofl

I think you are right Nef... he needs to stop hyperventilating.

Christ, you Leftards are predictable.

Blame Gillard's past indiscretions on the Catholics. :rofl

Any Way at All to stay ripping off the Taxpayer. Leftards should be all lined up and shot at dawn! It would make The World a far better place without them. :smitten

The Irish Inquiry failed to deal with matter of conceptual conflict. We are in new, entirely Mary Mother of God, virgin territory. As I said.....there will be a massive meltdown unless one side gives in. I have made my personal position plain. Fuck you Pell. It is abhorrent that you would try to use this ancestral Catholic shield to keep safe those within the Catholic Flock safe from the statutory requirements of the State.

I'll cop your Confessional sanctity for those OUTSIDE the Catholic Church, but not for those WITHIN that place.

I call you talking BULLSHIT, Aussie .... all words no action. :bike

The Pope will NOT change the Catholic Rules for Gillard. Get as annoyed as you like ......

Perhaps even re-direct your anger to the Prime Monster and her LIES ...

The Royal Commission .... ha ha ha, definitely needed but .... Gillard is treading water so next donkey trick is her getting MARRIED. :rofl Or having a BABY. :yahoo ... or perhaps Timmy is getting married, having a baby with someone else??? He is only there to "draw her bath" and "blow dry" her hair ... he said so. :rofl

You seem to want to "fuck" lots of males Arsie.

It would seem saner people are much more tolerant and patient than you.

I havn't read all your shit, to this point, as it went off track within a post or two... fluffy bunnies.

But my take on the confessional, as a non catholic, and non religious nut in general, is that in order to gain forgiveness, you still need to express remorse, and a willingness to "make things right".

Something compatible with our sense of justice... perhaps... if it's not repeated, unchecked by guilt, as paedophilia seems to be

This might describe what you mean, boxy:
Absolution is conditional on (a) a firm determination to sin no more (b) completion of whatever penance the priest hearing the confession sees fit to impose; and that used often to be conditional on public confession of sins, inc under torture/ on the scaffold. So that condition (inc public confession to the police/ courts/ victims) always could be imposed by the priest hearing the confession. Still can! So there’s no excuse for cover-ups which might, in themselves be grave sins.
(quote from another board—as former Catlick sounds sort of right.)
