I thought that Howard tried to do something with "our" ABC? Is the BBC similar? (Government owned)?
Do we need a Government run National broadcaster? I NEVER listen to radio nor watch the TV News. I get my news online .... that way I can read what I want to read and not have it "in my face" on TV.
IF I saw Gillard on QT I would possibly throw something heavy at the TV, she is a LIAR and I despise her. I am certainly disgusted with her as our Prime Minister. Even KRudd had more decorum than Gillard does. That's saying something.

The ABC (radio and TV) is government funded and it is meant to be impartial, however it is over run with lefties.
