I used to watch Collectors and was disgusted to hear that he had been arrested for accessing and possessing child porn.
" Defence lawyer Kim Baumeler said Muirhead had broken up with his girlfriend at the time, which made him increasingly socially isolated". Yeah, that explains it all ... NOT! He is only 36 and has ruined his life, what an idiot. His ex girlfriend had a lucky escape. Wonder whether it was she who dobbed him in? Next step would have been getting access to children and becoming a true paedophile. Unbelievable that men can do this to innocent children. Hope he spends some time in gaol!

You don't have to engage in the act of paedophilia (inappropriately touch a child) in order to be a paedophile.
Having a sexual attraction towards children is enough to warrant this creep being defined a paedo.
Sick prick, throw it in prison and lose the key.

Women can do it too. Let's not be sexist!
Agreed, and whilst statistically there are fewer 'documented' female paedophiles, there's an increasing number of female perpetrators, facilitators, accomplices engaging in unlawful activity concerning minors, if indirectly, (ie, enjoying the proceeds of active paedophiles crimes) which to my way of thinking is just as sick and deserving of a hefty prison sentence.

My bolds.
mellie, please link us to the source which supports that claim. For there to be an 'increasing number' relevant research would have established a bench mark at some appropriate time ago, and then carefully observed ongoing events, and recorded them. Please produce the links which demonstrate that.

If it's wrong for men, it's wrong for women. Period.
That's equality.
Obviously it's illegal to have sex with anyone under age, but the fact is some teenage boys and girls are far more knowledgeable about sex than the person apparently seducing them. It makes no difference whether they're males or females.

mantra.....do not let AnimalMother get away with comparing apples and oranges. The accepted definition of 'child molester' implicitly excludes those who have consensual (though illegal by Statute) sexual relations with post pubescent teenagers.

He was just stirring a little Aussie - it didn't bother me. Many of us are sexist anyway - it's just something few people admit to.

It appears Aussie is now happy the forum is obsessed with porn and sex related topics now.
There should be no double standard in relation to the law, however there are differences in the reporting and public perception.
If I was seduced at 15 by my French teacher... I can tell you I would not have reported it to the authorities. It would have been worn as a badge of honour. My father would have said... "good on ya son". My mother would not have made an issue of it if it had no negative effect on me.
I would have be a "Legend"

Haha - a 15 year old boy would probably find it about the most exciting thing that had happened to him, but if your French teacher had been a male - it would be a different story, even if you weren't sure of your sexual preferences. I think the age of consent for homosexual sex is now 18 - although it's 16 if it's hetero sex. Now that's sexism.

No, he was not mantra 'just stirring a little." You will learn soon enough. AnimalMother is many things of the asshole variety, including the most misogynist poster I have ever encountered on the www.
