Surely Aussie didn't send cash via Australia Post?
If he did, and the money didn't arrive then the onus is on Aussie to re- send it properly, unless he has a reciept?
Surely he at least sent it by registered mail if he did send it via AP?

Most would do a bank transfer, and if Aussie did, then his bank statement would demonstrate this?

Seems Monk is being quite insistent about it, perhaps the crew at the Post Office found it, this is why they tell customers never send money, either transfer it to the recipients account or he could send using a cash app or use Cardless Cash to send it to a handy teller near Monk.

He just sends Monk a code and Monk can withdraw it from a local handy teller. Unless it's Westpac, who no-longer support Cardless Cash transactions due to them being greedy. Our safety apparently,

Well that's not very nice, did Aussie report it to FD?
Because if he did it to Aussie then he has likely scammed others, of which isn't a great look for FD, especially as Monk is a mod on Ozpol, or will be once unbanned.

Scamming is a serious offence, if someone lodged a formal complaint with the amca or accc, or other authorities who monitor sites for this kind of stuff then FD could get penalised for accomidating, allowing people like this scam others online.

Personally, if someone did this to another on a board I owned, and I was 100% certain they were up to no good, I'd permanently ban them quick smart.


I don't know the full story, and given there's usually 2 sides, I'll reserve my judgement on this.

But I have to say, sending money by post and then claiming it got lost in the post, or that the recipient has lied and falsely claims they didn't receive it, sounds a bit dodgy to begin with.
