They are following Ford's example with the twin turbo v6. Toyota are rarely innovators, but they study and copy to perfection to make their equipment reliable and functional.

Yes, ford have a turbo for each bank of 3 cylinders, running in parallel as it were.
The exhausts are on the outside of the V shape

Toyota has the exhausts toward the centre of the V, all 6 exhausts are fed into 1 turbo, then later on into a 2nd turbo.
They are in series.
I could see a problem of heat buildup there

My dad has a 2011 Ford with the 3.5 ecoboost. It will outrun the 5.0 V8. (I have a 2014 with the 5.0l V8.) The new 3.5 has about 20% more power. They put out 680N.m of torque.

My Mom has a 3.0l ecoboost engine in her 2021 Lincoln Aviator.

I download images and then resize them in Photoshop - then post them.

Toyotas 2.5 litre petrol and 6 speed auto work well together.

The 8 speed auto has/had a few hiccups in the early models
