Handy apps for phones

Post by sprintcyclist » Fri Feb 12, 2021 10:05 pm

I got a newish phone, usually keep them WAY past their use by date.
Surprising what it does.

A new app I put on is 'PayStay'. To pay for car parking.
I tend to have fewer coins now, one day I will have no coins and want to park somewhere

I don't much like apps on my phone and avoid them all. Everyone wants to put an app on your phone.

Oh, have a 'coffee club' app on it too.

Get 10% off every bill

I play sudoku on my phone. I have an app that counts dots on dominoes for when I play Mexican Train. It beats adding. I use Maps for navigation. I have the Spectrum TV app. I can watch TV on my phone.

Oh, yes, the GPS is a total winner. Would buy a phone for just that. I get lost when driving easy and it makes me very anxious.
We used it in France, was an amazing game changer.

I use a magnetic mount for my phone to use it as a GPS when I drive. Even if I know where I am going, I use the GPS to avoid traffic.

Good idea.
I put mine in my top shirt pocket, upside down
