We are the most persecuted group in the world for almost no reason
........................ Every month:
255 Christians are killed
104 are abducted
180 Christian women are raped, sexually harassed or forced into marriage
66 churches are attacked
160 Christians are detained without trial and imprisoned
Every year, we release the World Watch List—a global indicator of countries where human and religious rights are being violated, and those countries most vulnerable to societal unrest and destabilization. This is the 26thyear of the Open Doors World Watch List, and it remains the only annual in-depth survey to rank the 50 most difficult countries in which to be a Christian.
According to our research:
215 million Christians experience high levels of persecution in the countries on the World Watch List. This represents 1 in 12 Christians worldwide.
North Korea is ranked #1 for the 17th consecutive year as the most dangerous country for Christians.
During the World Watch List 2018 reporting period: 3,066 Christians were killed; 1,252 were abducted; 1,020 were raped or sexually harassed; and 793 churches were attacked.
Islamic Oppression fuels Christian persecution in 8 of the top 10 countries. .............................

.............. Christian persecution set to rise in 2019
Wed 02 Jan 2019
By Rosie Wright
Christian persecution charity Release International is warning that Christians in Nigeria, China and India may face even more violence this year.
The news comes after Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt insisted the UK must do more to help persecuted Christians around the world.
Andrew Boyd from Release International told Premier that attacks in several countries were intensifying.
He said: "In the first six months of 2018 [in Nigeria] 6,000 people were killed and 50,000 Christians were driven from their homes.
"In China we're seeing a growing number of attacks against unregistered house churches, and the bigger higher profile churches that are now being closed down and the pastors arrested."
"One of the reasons the partners on the ground gave is that "there are very few protests from the West against this behaviour."
This Christmas, militants attacked Christians in Nigeria; a planned attack was foiled in Karachi, Pakistan, and security has been tightened around churches in Egypt ahead of the Coptic Christmas, on January 7.
Jeremy Hunt has ordered a review into an estimated 215 million Christians who face violence and discrimination. According to official figures, violence against Christians is rising, with 250 killed each month.
Andrew Boyd told Premier this was a sign of hope.
"If you get the UK government along with other governments saying these are countries of particular concern, then the message to those who are running those countries is 'we are watching you, we want to help you, help you deal with the problems of your militants, we expect you to deal with it and we're watching to see that you do'."

Individually they may not deserve it but as a religious movement? Mmmm, jury is still out on that one, Sprint.
What I find interesting is how many fundamentalist Christians will cry wolf over persecution while at the same time persecuting others, such as Muslims, Hindus, Gays, blacks, etc. Tut, tut, don't worry, they'll get theirs in their afterlife, if it exists.

Whether they have clout or not, it shows that Nazi-like influences are at work, Cods. Christians who are disobeying the edicts of their own religion don't deserve to be consider Christians any more IMO.

I thought Brian was raised a Roman Catholic, like Monk was, something must have turned them off Christians to hate them so much.
