First man in South Australia charged with possessing child-like sex doll under new laws
Dolls 'objectify children as sexual beings'
Research by the Australian Institute of Criminology found that use of these dolls may lead to an escalation in child sex offences.
AFP Acting Commander South Australia Gail McClure said the dolls objectified children as sexual beings and could desensitise anyone who used them to the physical, emotional and psychological harm caused by sexual abuse.
"Some dolls are even robotic and designed to respond positively to the abuse," she said.
"The Australian Federal Police does not condone any form of child exploitation, or activity of any kind that reinforces the sexualisation of children.
"This includes sexual gratification activity using items depicting children — these anatomically correct dolls are legally considered child exploitation material.
"This arrest highlights the collaborative work undertaken by the AFP and its partners to protect children and identify and prosecute anyone who seeks to exploit and harm them."

I used to watch a documentary series on Netflix called 'DarkNet'.Bogan wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 7:22 amThings are a bit slow on Political Animal at the moment. This topic should stir you lot up.
Today's news item reports that NSW Police have arrested and charged a man from the Riverina district with importing a child sex doll.
Details about the case remain sketchy, especially the age group of the doll. Recently in the USA, a man was arrested for possessing a child sex doll that was a baby, which seemed to indicate a sexual preference that is indicative of outright serious mental instability.
But the usual standard for prosecution is that for a crime to occur, first there must be a victim. One could argue that a person exhibiting a preference for sex with children by owning a child sex doll is a danger to the community, and therefore should be prosecuted anyway. But that presupposes guilt before the act. In Christian culture, temptation is not a sin. Many people have odd sexual preferences but may never act upon them because of the Crimes Act or social disapproval. That does not mean that they should be publically humiliated or even prosecuted for having what the majority consider unacceptable sexual tastes.
Similarly, just because some people do have strange sexual preferences, the usual standard of tacit acceptance by an enlightened public, is that whatever adults do in their own bedrooms, (provided that children or even animals are not involved) is their own business and not the state's.
While arguments which support the prosecution of people for the possession of banned items, (ie a machine gun) are valid, there is no reason to believe that a man who just happens to have a sexual preference with minors must automatically be a danger to children if he possesses a child sex doll. The man in question may have lived a long blameless life and never had any intention of harming or molesting any child. His possession of a child sex doll was for him, a harmless way of fulfilling his innermost fantasies without harming anyone.
Thoughts please.
One episode showed families in the Philipines prostituting their children out on 'webcam sex' to put food on the table.. which in itself is horrid.. this same episode also shone a light on scientists studying the "pedophile" mind, and creating VR software to help pedos get their sexual "desires" fulfilled safely, without harm to children. Child sex dolls were also mentioned.
The hope is that in pandering to these scumbags, they won't harm a child. Perhaps in some cases, it would work... in other cases, it will have the same effect as the "gateway drug", imo.
I'm sick to death of people claiming that pedophilia is a "mental illness" and to treat pedophiles like victims. Funding towards developing sick software (which, makes you wonder what goes on in the minds of the people actually developing the software themselves? They would have to create life-like computer generated child sex dolls..) is a complete waste of time and money, when there are far better scientific pursuits.
"Harmless" or not, the death penalty (yes, I'm well aware we don't have it in Australia) should apply to all pedophiles, alongside serial killers and serial rapists. I've had far too many friends and ex-lovers who suffered at the hands of these scumbags, often by their own family members, which meant victims never got justice and had to live with the pain and humiliation for the rest of their lives.
This guy here may be "harmless" now, but who's to say he will stay that way? Sexual depravity is a powerful thing.

I see your point, but adults get abused also. He'll lose interest in the sex doll after a while and then he will want to find someONE to take it's place. Meanwhile, he has spent his time not developing the skills necessary to establish a relationship and will get frustrated with women. Who's to say what would happen next? It's not a situation that I want near me or my family.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 11:38 amNo! Because of the the key word "adults".
Again you are talking about adults with adults and not children. Although there may be isolated cases, the majority of people who engage in bondage do so with others of like and consenting minds. Not all paedophiles act on their sexual interest of children but a great many more do than those who might watch a bondage video and then go out on a murder spree.Bogan wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 11:19 amBeing in possession of bondage and sado masochistic paraphernalia would put people who own such sex toys in the danger category as well. At least in my mind. Bondage pornography and equipment especially. The FBI has investigated abduction/bondage murders where the perpetrator was found to be acting out the lurid stories he had read in bondage magazines, in which the finest restraint equipment was advertised.
Yet again you are talking adult on adult. I couldn't care less if someone has an adult sex doll they use to satiate their urges and desires. The line is drawn for me at CHILDREN!Bogan wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 11:19 amWhy would not a sex doll help him suppress and control his urges? He gets what he wants without hurting anybody. Hitler invented the idea of blow up sex dolls. That was because for many of his millions of young soldiers, they had been many years without any contact with females at all. His own generals warned him that unless some way was found to satisfy their boys natural sexual urges, all the boys in the Wehrmacht would start freaking out with each other.
Gravitation from the visual to the physical is a progression not a regression//suppression.

I agree with all that and I know adults get abused too but at least an adult has a fighting chance against another adult, both mentally and physically, whereas no child ever does.

They even have baby ones can you believe that? Babies?
I think it was Reboot who said paedos, serial murderers and serial rapists should get the death penalty and I agree. A bullet is all it would take. Nothing fancy.
We have to pay more to house these freaks in prison because they have to be segregated from the general population of prisoners in case they get hurt.

Child sex dolls could be considered similarly to “gateway drugs”. I recall watching Ted Bundy being interviewed the night before he was executed. He was very clear. Consuming violent porn was his “gateway”. There is no room for any of it in a decent, healthy society.
