We all know what has happened in Sri Lanka..
The only question I have is this..
"Will this be the catalyst for authorities worldwide to confront islam..."
I wonder if anything will be done by any country to confront islam, or will this attack be
soon forgotten as other attacks continue......it wont be the last....
We shouldnt forget that isis stands for "islamic state of iran and syria"
Therefore, although world leaders say isis has been defeated in syria..that may be correct, but
isis itself has not been defeated...far from it....
Of course, the gutless, absolutely gutless worldwide media have yet to label the terrorist attacks as
"islamic terrorist attacks" or "muslim terrorist attacks".....just "terrorist attacks"

Unfortunately the USA is bound by its Constitution, which virtually allows anything and everything...
Anything he tries to do will have to be in accordance with the Constitution....
I once had an argument with a workmate about some law in Australia, and my answer was "change the law"
His reply was "you cant do that" I said "why not"......
Japan has no problems with islam...the mosques they have you could count on one hand and people
are not permitted to bring copies of the koran into Japan...correct me if Im wrong here, but I think its forbidden to do so...
Why do other countries have problems with islam...because they are soft....
Our Constitution allows the Government to "make laws for the peace, welfare and good government of the Colony"
We can make appropriate laws...the USA cant because their Constitution stands in the way.
Of course we now have the Anti Discrimination Act which in itself prohibits any discriminatory changes in Australia.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and amendments to any legislation can occur.
Unfortunately our politicians havent got the guts to pass any legislation which might cause them to lose power.
Hanson wanted to have legislation enacted to declare islam as an ideology, not a religion..that got no-where.
She also wanted burkas to be banned in public places..as they are in France...dont know what happened to that...
Its common knowledge that islam gradually chips away at western civilisation....
Perhaps western civilisation has to start chipping back.

Part of our problem rests with the UN. With 47 nations in the UN islamic, we, as a member nation are, shall we say,
"under the thumb"...and we will always pander to islamic nations....
It was a start when we decided not to sign the UN Immigration Pact..but the Government still permits thousands
upon thousands of immigrants into the country from islamic countries....
You can only keep a lid on social unrest for a certain period of time..look at whats happening in France...

Al-Jazeera journalist Saif Khalid claims that reporting the name of one of the alleged suicide bombers in Sri Lanka is “Islamophobic”.

Over 200 people have died after explosions rocked three luxury hotels in the nation’s largest city, Colombo, and three packed Catholic churches. Two additional attacks took place at other sites.

One of the alleged suicide bombers behind the attack on the Shangri La hotel has been identified as Islamic extremist Zahran Hashim.

However, Al-Jazeera journalist Saif Khalid suggested that even reporting Hashim’s name was “Islamophobic.”

Lawyer and political campaigner Rasmus Paludan was surrounded by police and placed inside a cordon for the protest in Copenhagen.

The video shows him catching a copy of the Koran as it is thrown to him.



All hell then breaks loose as one Muslim man tries to attack Paludan while others began rioting.

The riots continued for the rest of the day, with rocks and fireworks being thrown at police.

The fire brigade responded to 20 fires while shops and cars were also torched.

Paludan said he was protesting against the 2015 Islamist Copenhagen terror attack.

One wonders what the response from Christians would have been in a similar situation. ...........

Two brothers linked to a fringe Islamic group in Sydney have been convicted of contempt of court and fined more than $100,000 after claiming they were "exempt" from Australian law.

The NSW Land and Environment Court heard Mustapha Kara-Ali and his brother Diaa Kara-Ali had a "religious issue with the court" and had ignored court orders to cease construction at a site in Colo in north-west Sydney, for which they did not have development consent.

Two brothers claimed to be 'exempt' from Australian law, have been fined more than $100,000 for constructing an Islamic site at Colo, north-west of Sydney, without planning permission.

Mustapha Kara-Ali, described as the Imam or spiritual leader of fringe Islamic group Diwan Al Dawla, told the court it was "religiously repugnant and obscene" to be ordered by Hawkesbury City Council to do or not do anything on the land, as it related to "a matter of religious practice".

He claimed the council was trying to "coerce us" by using the courts and it amounted to an "outright violation of our religious freedom" because the court was not a "secular body".

But the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC) said there was "no question about the need to comply with the law".

ANIC's spokesman, Bilal Rauf, said on Thursday it was "sad" that "some individuals may choose to disregard it for their own ends".

"We are all subject to the law and seek its protections and are obliged to fulfil relevant obligations," Mr Rauf said.

The brothers were arrested late last year for failing to appear in court to face the contempt charges. The men and a company linked to the spiritual group, owned by one of the brothers, subsequently pleaded guilty to contempt of court for ignoring the court's orders.

In a judgment on Thursday, Justice Terence Sheahan said the failure to comply with the orders, which also included requirements to demolish various structures such as flagpoles, had caused "further environmental harm". The brothers were fined more than $40,000 collectively while the company was fined $20,250.

Justice Sheahan said all three had engaged in a "flagrant breach" of court orders.

He said the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC), with the assistance of the NSW Judicial Commission, had made clear in an explanatory note that "Muslims in Australia will often be expected to participate in Court processes".

The note "even stresses that there are many similarities between the Western tradition and the Muslim concept of justice", he said, and it made clear that Muslims in Australia must comply with local laws as "this is a position mandated by the Holy Quran".

Mustapha Kara-Ali told the court the explanatory note "belongs in the trash bin" and "I do not subscribe to that council and they are not worthy of being called, 'Imams.'"

"They are hypocrites that have succumbed to another religion and they do not represent the religion that the youth want," he said.

Justice Sheahan noted that the men "clearly relied upon some elements of Australian law" and availed themselves of certain safeguards in the law while denying "any obligation to obey other equally valid laws dealing with planning and development".

Mr Rauf, spokesman for ANIC, said the explanatory note was "an important document which looks to provide assistance to members of the community as well as judicial and tribunal members relating to the legal processes".

"The council views it as important to provide such guidance and assistance to help towards ensuring a harmonious society and a positive engagement between the broader community and our legal institutions," he said.

I hope the court actively enforces payment of the fine.

There's a mosque or musallah on every other corner in north western Sydney now and if Council refuses to grant a permit they just take it to the Land & Environment Court to overturn Council's rejection.

I think you'll find, Black Orchid they need valid reasons to overturn the Council decision against the establishment of a Mosque. Of course, you see Muslims using the courts to their advantage as being a case of them showing their contempt for a Council decision which is more than likely based on Islamophobia rather than reason.
