I have a simple rule after all these years and that is only upgrade operating systems when the major PC Games make it a requirement. When the gaming community makes it a requirement for the major games you can usually be sure they are happy with the stability of the OS.

As far as Apples OS goes I just upgrade maybe a 2 or 3 months behind.

I have just installed Windows 10 on my work computer today.

Wow... simple. It just bloody worked and everything is there.

I would go for it. It appears faster.

Edge appears to be a faster browser.

So far.... I love it.

I've heard talk that it has the potential to collect a lot of data. Perhaps you can turn that off, but will have to look into it a bit more.

There is the potential but you are asked if you want to allow the data to be used. The applications needs to learn about yourself to provide clever for you. If you don't want clever.... say no and they will get nothing.

Personally.... I have never allowed google to see any of my data. I am happy for some of these applications to learn more about me if that makes clever work for me.

By clever I mean.... it knows where a travel... warns me if there are problems, reminds me to do things... talks to me ...etc. First step in a real personal assistant.

Wow... the browser is cool. Fast... no issues. Like it a lot..... first impressions going where I normally go.

EDGE rocks.

I think they got this one right.

Needs a windows 10 phone and see how it all joins up.

Has anyone had problems with Windows 10 ... yet? Are all your games and various programs still buzzing along as normal?

Microsoft already sent everybody (I presume) a notification that they were "upgrading security" whether you download Win 10 or not. It is no longer a problem with hackers trying to get into your Bank Account (via your computer ....LOL) but Microsoft recording every time you sneeze in front of the monitor. :rofl

Installed for a week now and not a problem.

All my programs still function as they did before..... some appear faster.
