Seems NED doesn't have the keys after all.deepy wrote:Aussie wrote:Not me, unless he has given them to 'Ned Kelly.' I suppose I better check.lisa jones wrote:Ok Aussie .. I'm back.
FD tells me he thought you had the keys already.
WTF is going on?

Don't bother, there is only one admin. The owner of the board.
Ok so that can only mean 1 thing .. that some stupid game is being played. Lovely.

Mantra, boxy lost to me. I am therefore entitled to the Keys boxy held/holds. Only freediver can take them off boxy, and hand them to me......
Good night.
PS....Looks like I captured what you posted before you deleted it mantra.

Re: Position of Moderator
For tonight it looks like FD has taken back control of his forum and Aussie & Boxy are the moderators. It will suit some members, but obviously not others. Personally I think Boxy and Aussie make a good combination.mellie wrote:Aaaaaww, Lisas shattered.... sobs sobs

Yes - I shouldn't have put it up. It could be premature or incorrect.Aussie wrote: PS....Looks like I captured what you posted before you deleted it mantra.

I personally prefer an owner-moderated/administrated forum, this way, (the minimalist approach) for if anything goes wrong, then we know who to question.
I have to say, this election was rather amusing to watch, especially Lisa writhing up and down a pole like some sort of exotic pole-animal dancer in drag.
You go girlfriend....rooooww

Re: Position of Moderator
Why any of you would become so glum over the trivialities of a forum is beyond me.... I'd like to see Mantra and IQS moderating the site, but if this isn't to be, then thats life.
Why are people getting so hung up over the outcome, when it's apparent, the only winner here is the individual who rigged it from the start.
Freediver...
Surprise surprise, did you think this was a true democracy?
Lets put it this way, if it were my site, I'd be damned if I would leave the runnings of the board up-to some online forum election prone to technical corruption, particularly when anyone could be anyone they claim to be online under any given IP.
Eg,.. If I wanted to, I could wield 30 odd local proxys, and use an variety of VPN's ...in order to make votes count, here online they would need to be confirmed 'real posters' and how on earth could you police this when I have even heard of cases whereby individuals 'Carl' has gone to the trouble of setting female associates up with and meeting people off-line, but lets not go there, it's far too creepy
In a true democracy, every vote is accounted for, counted fairly in the company of a supervisory panel, and re-counted by machine, and one may only vote once as per any nations given electoral system, protocol.
I personally dislike the preference system, and think it's prone to back-door deals, corruption, pay-offs, and bribery.
Ie, you vote for me on this forum/or at this election, and i'll vote for you/or preference you on another, etc...bit like how Bob but-head Brown opposed the preference system publicly, (called it corrupt ), though was first cab off the rank when it came to greasing given marginal electorates candidates (from assorted partys) palms, be they from the Family First party, or the democrats... it really didn't matter to Bob, so long as it achieved the desired outcome. Preferences!
Also, I don't believe postal votes should be submittable unless the individual has a medical reason (not spiritual) for not being able to vote like the rest of our nations citizens, in person, and at the polls.

Yes - I think you're right. It was a carry on about nothing - but it brought a little more life to this place temporarily. If it stays the way it is at the moment - it should be alright. Boxy would counteract any of Aussie's extreme decisions, although I think Aussie might be mellowing a bit.
Anyway - let's hope it's all over now and this forum can get back to the business of debating politics, rather than personalities.
