Aussies stuck overseas

Post by Gordon » Mon Mar 30, 2020 12:16 pm

I'm hearing about a lot of Aussie's begging for Govt help to get them home and a although some would have departed before actual warnings were given, the writing was on the wall and leaving defied common sense.

This voyage left 3 weeks ago.

If they were too stupid not to know what was going on before they left 3 weeks ago too bad. Aussies have had plenty of time to get home by now.

Let them live with their own choices. This pandemic has certainly brought out the worst in too many people.

Anyone who left Australia even 4 weeks ago did so out of greed of not wanting to lose their tickets or utter stupidity.

I'm OK for the govt to arrange charter flights and work the politics, but they must pay actual costs.

The ones who left at a time they knew it was stupid to go should also have to pay for the hotel accommodation we will have to provide for them on their return and they should also be fined if they start to whinge like some of the others are doing.

Morrison said no assistance would be given to Australians who travelled overseas after a ban on outbound travel was announced.

As it should be! I hope they stick to that.

certainly the case with the couple I know who went on a 21 day cruise....

I almost wish they did get a dose of it... or at the least a toilet paper shortage...
