Its great for me. Ive got 13 acres to run around on, Sky tv, fiber broadband ,netflix. a swimming pool. And a stack of guns to play with..Black Orchid wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2020 11:49 amRealistically it could go on for months. People have been melting down for weeks. Imagine what they would be like after months? I feel like shooting them now.BigP wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2020 11:45 amThis shut down is making a lot of people nervous, you can see it in their faces, 4 weeks is just the first phase , it will be assessed and if necessary extended,,Black Orchid wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2020 11:33 amWell be careful what you feed them. Remember the old saying ...
"What you eat today walks and talks tomorrow".
You don't want to start the zombie apocalypse lol.
I don't deal well with hysterical and irrational people. I try to be patient but they make it SO hard.

Re: New virus from shithole China
I had a productive morning.
I came up with a little tech related business that helps businesses socially isolate. $250 a pop and did 2 today and so far have 6 more for the week.
Also my neighbour is an 80+ retried teacher who relies heavily on money he gets from coaching. He had a huge heart attack 5 years ago so hes about as high a risk as there is for corona.
Today helped him set up a video conferencing program and even spammed his details across my daughter's schools social media.
Why are people lining up at Centrelink?

Daughter had 3 lessons online today. Reckons it's better than being in a classroom.

I've been checking on my parents and my aunts. They are all fine. I have an uncle in California and I don't have his number. My parents will call them. There's not much I can do for him. He's 81 and married with no kids. His family is here in TX and I don't know what family his wife has to look after them.

I don't have family to check on (other than my kids whom I am in constant contact with) although I am keeping in contact with some elderly neighbours and making sure they are ok.
One neighbour in her 70s is sending her hubby to the shops on his way home from work every day and I don't think that's very sensible but I am not about to say anything.
