Snap three-day lockdown on the cards for Victoria as cases rise

for Victoria following an alarming rise in cases.

Victorians could know as early as this afternoon whether they will be sent into their sixth lockdown, with reports officials are considering a snap restrictions.

Six locally transmitted Covid-19 cases were confirmed on Thursday morning, with three of those infections unlinked, sending contact tracers scrambling.

Two more cases, which have not been included in today’s numbers, were also announced during Thursday’s press conference. This brings the total of new cases to eight.

The rise in cases sparked an urgent meeting between Victorian government officials and health authorities, with the Herald Sun reporting a snap three-day lockdown is being considered.

Sources told the publication consideration is being given to a lockdown starting at midnight but there is also the possibility of starting it earlier to avoid the risk of a “super spreader” event occurring from people gathering one last time before restrictions kick in.

No firm decision has been made but the Herald Sun reports any announcement will likely occur later today.

The never-ending process goes like this:

Announce “emergency measures” to combat an emerging threat (in this case, lockdowns and mandatory mask-wearing to combat the conjob19 virus)
Normalize these new measures and condition the society to slowly accept them as permanent over time
As a reward for compliance, release the chokehold temporarily as an escape valve to quell growing discontent
When the subjugated class looks the other way, clamp down even tighter with a brand-new justification (in this case, a new “variant”)
Repeat
Basic behavioural conditioning....normalize...and condition..as a reward for compliance...

The lockdowns will not end... they will merely be intermittently released as temporary rewards for a compliant population... only to be inevitably reinstituted at a convenient future point...
The vaccine agenda will be enforced by way of “passports” needed to access basic resources (like grocery stores if you live in a city) and participate in what’s left of society....

These lockdowns are ridiculous. You can't go out anywhere but you can go shopping or running, walking the dog, anything for exercise.

Don't people shopping potentially have the virus and spread it around the supermarket? What about the check-out chicks? Are they contagious and can only go to work to mix with the shoppers but not allowed to go anywhere else (visit friends, window shop, etc)?

If they were really serious about lockdowns, NOBODY including TV News Reporters, Government people et al couldn't leave their home for weeks on end. IF they want to talk to the public, they can only do it from their own "lockup". No going to the shops, or walking the dog, or anything like that. That will fix them.
