I couldn't get an appointment over the internet for my 2nd dose of AZ.
Just tried to get my 2nd vax without an appointment -
it's impossible - lines of people 500m long even before the gate to get in
and a sign saying by appointment only.
It's hopeless - heaps of people were like me -
just turning their cars around and getting out.
I thought most places set up your second appointment when you had the first jab!

Well at least thats what happened in my case!

Update.
I just got a booking online - as the site is now working.

Still - I expect there to be a 1000 people there
and a long wait in line.
Damn it.

No - I went to a mass vax hub for my first AZ jab.
I got asked 5 days ago by email to make my 2nd appointment.
Just made it now as the internet worked - everything is super overloaded.

Thanks - I'll report tomorrow to say what happened at the mass vax hub.
Still - I expect there to be a 1000 people there and a long wait in line.
I’ll get there at least an hour before the appointment as if the lines are just as long
I’ll have to wait in line.
Damn it.

So don’t believe Dan that there’s an appointment waiting for you –
as though you can just march right in and get one -
it’s not that easy to organise.

It's alleged that in mid October the fully vaccinated are to be given more freedoms. Yeah right!

Premier Gladys Berejiklian says the plan for NSW to exit lockdown will be staged and "conditional" as the state records 1,405 infections and five deaths.

The Premier today unveiled the much-anticipated recovery roadmap outlining the first freedoms to Greater Sydney, which has been subjected to stay-at-home orders for nearly 14 weeks.

She said the most freedoms will be granted to the fully vaccinated and will trigger the Monday after NSW reaches its 70 per cent double dose target.

"You have been warned, if you're not vaccinated, come forward and get the vaccine, otherwise you won't be able to participate in the many freedoms that people have at 70 per cent vaccination," the Premier said.

An ABC analysis of the state's vaccine trajectory would put the end of lockdown on October 18.

The first stage will see homes reopen for up to five visitors at a time (not including children 12 and under) and outdoor gatherings of up to 20 people.

Retail stores, gyms, nail salons, hairdressers and hospitality venues will reopen at reduced capacities with the return of the one person per 4 square-metre rule.

Non-vaccinated young people aged under 16 will be able to access all outdoor settings but will only be able to visit indoor venues with members of their household.

Gladys has new rules coming soon -
no home visits unless you're all double vaxed:

Gatherings:

Up to five visitors will be allowed in a home where all adults are vaccinated (not including children 12 and under)
Up to 20 fully vaccinated people will be allowed to gather in outdoor settings.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian cancels daily COVID press conference

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced the state's daily 11:00am COVID-19 press conference will end from Monday,
as the state recorded 1,542
new infections and nine deaths.

The number of new cases is a new record for any Australian jurisdiction.

Instead of the daily briefing, NSW Health will publish daily videos outlining the latest information.

Ms Berejiklian said she and the Health Minister would address the public "intermittently" on a needs basis.

"I will turn up when I need to but to expect the leader of the government indefinitely to do this every day means that I am not doing my job properly," she said.

The Premier said she "didn't know how this would be received" and urged people not to drop their guard.

Earlier this week, Ms Berejiklian released modelling which estimated COVID-19 cases would peak in NSW next week and that hospitalisations would surge next month.

She has previously said "September and October will be really difficult" for the state.

"What we need to do is all of us have to start accepting that we need to live with COVID because COVID would be around for three or four years," she said today.

Despite the daily COVID press conference being a fixture of the Delta outbreak the Premier rejected the suggestion she was trying to hide from the public.

The press conferences are cancelled because Chant was babbling about the New World Order yesterday.
