Do the maths ... 430,000 population here -v- how many in Melbourne? Plus it only takes about 20 minutes to drive across town in Canberra, most roads are 110 kph. So just because one infection Northside doesn't mean it can't be taken Southside in half an hour. Ask Red.

Canberra is confusing geographically for an occasional visitor. When I am there, I have no idea where north/south are. When I was down there on secret squirrel business it took me about 20 mins to drive from 'home' to the Office....and I reckon that was nothing like 'across town.'Neferti~ wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 3:54 pmDo the maths ... 430,000 population here -v- how many in Melbourne? People who live alone can identify one other household that they can visit or receive visits from.

You are just too close to Sydney.Neferti~ wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 3:54 pmDo the maths ... 430,000 population here -v- how many in Melbourne? I'm surprised the cases are not much higher.

I think it still takes about 3 hours to drive to Sydney. Nobody wants to come to Canberra, they might run into a Pollie or three. Some Canberrans, apparently, took off "down the coast" as soon as the lockdown was announced. That takes about 2 hours. They were all told to STAY HOME!Bobby wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 5:16 pmYou are just too close to Sydney.Neferti~ wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 3:54 pmDo the maths ... 430,000 population here -v- how many in Melbourne?
