Medical on line

Post by tllwd » Mon May 19, 2025 2:42 pm

Just had consultation with my RA specialist using ZOOM software.
Actually medics use ZOOM software and a customer may use own internet browser.
It took about 15 minutes instead of 3+ hours me driving.

That's not bad TLD, beats sitting in an outpatients clinic with people coughing all over you.

Yes, that's too and unlike Skype there is no need to install any applications or browser extensions. A medic just sends you email with link and session number. Just make sure your microphone speakers and webcam are enabled.

That's good to know, thanks. I thought you had to have ZOOM installed and hence I have always avoided it.

Zoom can be installed for fast convenience, but you can log directly into it via your browser too.
Like web-based email.
You do need to create an account from memory....

During covid, my daughter’s virtual classes were via zoom and some via Webex .

Both are good, but if you're in a bad reception area or bad weather, you'll often get screen freezes , and glitches.

I am going to ask about the possibility of seeing a new RA specialist in Melbourne via webex/ zoom etc

Thanks for the suggestion Tld.

Only medics who host a session, not client.

Oh ok. Let's hope this advice is correct, or else you may be in checkmate here too.
