I read in the Australian newspaper (a few days old) the the UK and EU have having a battle on the supply of the vaccine.
The UK is saying 'We invented it, we funded it, we preordered it before we even knew it would work.'
EU is saying 'it is made on our shores, we need it also.' The UK are winning.
So, the french president said, it is almost ineffective for those over 65 !!! Stats are showing this is a fabricated statement.
It is showing by data the AZ vaccine is almost totally effective after one jab for the over 50's.
For the under 50's it is much safer than being anaesthetised. People in the EU don't know what to do.
Really, this should be ALL handled by medical experts. There should be NO political spin on this.
Media should be making NO inflammatory headlines.
We should see medically based graphs and figures of the stats on this everyday. No alarmist headlines.

Arent you being somewhat hypocritical...
You criticize me for being politically abusive and then you tell

Denmark has decided to not proceed with the AtraZeneca
This is a difficult decision.
Given the problems are so rare, I feel we should be given all the data, a recommendation by medical experts and make our own decision
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/ ... -programme........ The move comes in spite of strong recommendations from the World Health Organization and European medicines watchdog to continue using the inoculation, as the benefits far outweigh any potential risk.
“Denmark’s vaccination campaign will go ahead without the AstraZeneca vaccine,” the director of the Danish health authority, Søren Brostrøm, told a press conference.
Neighbouring Sweden has said it plans to pause its own roll-out of a second vaccine, produced by Johnson & Johnson, which has also been linked to rare blood clots.
Finland also announced that it would continue to limit the AstraZeneca vaccine to people aged 65 and over, adding that it was possible to give a second dose from another manufacturer and that it was drafting a plan on how to continue with its vaccinations.
Denmark’s decision comes amid a continuing focus on rare side-effects that has seen the US-produced Johnson & Johnson vaccine paused in the US over similar concerns, potentially putting back the EU’s vaccination effort by several months as it waits for supplies.
An advisory committee to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was due to meet on Wednesday to review the six clotting cases and vote on recommendations for future use of the shot. The Food and Drug Administration will review the analysis.
All six cases involved women between the ages of 18 and 48, with symptoms occurring six to 13 days after vaccination. The FDA said patients should watch for up to three weeks for symptoms including severe headache, abdominal pain, leg pain or shortness of breath. ..............
This is a difficult decision.

That's the whole problem though. For every 'expert' who says something there are others who say something different and I'm extremely doubtful that so many countries would stop the use of AZ based on such small numbers of clots etc. I'm happy to wait it out.

Anyone over 50 should be worried as apparently they are disposable and the government needs to get rid of AZ on someone.
