A new aspect of the Nick D'Arcy story

Post by Aussie » Mon Apr 27, 2009 9:15 pm

......came to light this evening on ACA with that media tart/frump Grimshaw interviewing Nick.

Nick had to draw her attention to the truth that 'agreed facts' were presented to the Presiding Magistrate when Nick was sentenced.

Grimshaw went out of her way to put something to Nick which Cowley himself had made no mention of during his ACA interview.......that is that the 'agreed facts' had not been agreed to by Cowley, but rather they had been agreed between Prosecutor and Defence Counsel.

The clear implication is that the Prosecutor agreed to a set of facts which Cowley did not agree with.

If that is the truth, then the NSW legal system needs to get to the bottom of it. If I am bashed and tell a Prosecutor that apples are apples, he is stepping way out of line, and into a perversion of justice territory if he goes into Court declaring apples are oranges.

I wonder if that issue will emerge in the Media, or in the judicial world?
