Dogs, they think they have a mind of their own!

Uppity buggers!

This one in particular:

Instead of enjoying New Years Eve & the fireworks I drove the 90Km or so to Gawler to enter the @#$* crossbred Jack Russell/Silky Terrier bitch in the obedience trial. CCD=Community Companion Dog, lowest qualification and done mostly on-lead. Trial went well, I knew my nervousness had caused me to snap at the lead once or twice--a no no as a "nice loose lead" is what is wanted in CCD--but dog did everything well, automatic sit, left-about and right-about turns, stand, stay etc. Good "figure of eight" solid as a rock "stand for exam" etc then "move to the mark, take lead off (oh boy nervous as FUCK now, move forward and me and dog move forward "Stop" and I stop and dog does 'automatic sit' then "wait" said plus handsignal and move off starting with right leg. All good, I move I dunno 11-12 metres "turn around' so I do a left about turn (I think, so nervous it is a wonder I ended up facing the fucking dog) hadn't been told to stop so moved a pace or two back towards my dog "stop" so I stopped "Call your dog" so I flung hands in air, shouted 'Come!" and moved hands back in front of my groin and dog comes running and I think it is in the bag but the FUCKING BITCH veers at last moment and runs past me, BOMBING THE FUCKING TRIAL!!!

Anyway, on Sat 7th March i will do all THIS SHIT again!

And on Fri 11th April at Mt Gambier i hope to successfully complete a second trial. Then I need to succeessfully complete a third trial to start entering CD trials, Companion Dog, which OH BOY is ALL off lead!

How old is she JM? I'll have to dig out a photo of my old dog - she looks so much like him in the face and colouring.
0-% IQ.

hmmm DT is pretty simplistic, so IQ 110? -50 leaves 60.

minus LOW_IQ, fuck, he/she functions so IQ mebbe IQ 100? About average? considering poor use of language say LOW_IQ has IQ of 105? (and insists on the 10*5* I bet!. So that leaves PA2 with a net IQ of 60-105 = -55IQ.

That sounds about right!

Nice thing about Mt Gambier trial, can stay with niece in Kalangadoo. Very nice there, relaxing.

Took a 'movie' last time I stayed there, was 6.00am and still dark, but the camera recorded the incredible 'dawn chorus' of birdcalls. Still play that occasionally, fantastic.

Movie is a .MOV file, won't play on PCs without quicktime installed: anyone know how to convert that to a PC format?

Heh, still remember a bit, Monty Python IIRC:

"This piece was adapted for TV by putting it on a piece of wood and driveing a nail through it'

Bugger, just found out the guy who will run the enlarged butcher shop next door is a volume guy: meat is all precut, is not of highest quality and his (present) shop stinks a bit :(

There is another butcher shop, good one from reports, further away. Dunno how late they close but looked them up on whereis and I can go past them on my way home, just have to change my route a bit. Will buy some ham on way home from them.

It was so nice having such a good butcher 2 doors down! Sob! If I saw he had TBone steaks I would ask if he could cut me a steak from big end, 2" thick! Yum!

Good side of it: he will bring a lot of customers (he says 400 a week) and some of those might brew/start brewing! The shop that was right next to mine, a manicurist, did not have anyone coming there who even looked at my shop (or any of the others.) I saw some of them coming out and thought "You got pretty nails now but are still middleaged, overweight and ugly" :) :)
