Christopher Hitchens: I'm Dying
Anytime I came across a piece written by Christopher Hitchens I felt like a kid at Christmas. Whether he was writing about Iraq, Afghanistan, 9/11, Princess Diana, atheism, or even taking a shit, I always loved what Hitch had put on the page.
You will be much missed.

Yes, here is another article he wrote on the subject.

As some one who burned the candle at both ends he always gave me hope, he admits he tempted the Reaper more than most but I still find it terribly sad that we may soon loose one of the wittiest, most intelligent voices in our culture.
I do not always agree with him but I always admire his honesty and eloquence.
And the ironic detachment he describes his illness with is amazing; this too is a form of courage.
Hang in there Hitch, we need every word you have left.

Never heard of the bloke until I read that Frogen, but shit, can he write!! The 'alien!' What a metaphor. I hope the hair loss proves productive for him.
Re: Christopher Hitchens: I'm Dying
Am awaiting the latest issue of Vanity Fair to arrive in the mail. Now that VF writer Dominick Dunne has died and Hitch may follow him I don't know that the magazine will ever hold the same interest for me even though it features the most brilliant of writers.

Re: Christopher Hitchens: I'm Dying
I have just picked up Christopher Hitchen's 'Hitch 22' and he is ever interesting even in his dedication page.
"I can claim copyright only in myself, and occasionally in those who are either dead or have written about the same events, or who have a decent expectation of anonymity, or who are such appalling public shits that they have ...forfeited their right to bitch."
Hang in there Hitch, I want to read every last word you have in you.

Fantastic."I can claim copyright only in myself, and occasionally in those who are either dead or have written about the same events, or who have a decent expectation of anonymity, or who are such appalling public shits that they have ...forfeited their right to bitch."
How come this Dude is not better known. For me, he nails it.
Now, tell me Frogen, would he vote for the Red Headed Nasal Woodpecker or the Minimal Pecker out of a Budgerigar??

He is pretty well known, several best sellers and regular apperances on TV, including our own Question Time and ABC arts programs.
As for question two, I am going for the Red Head with the campaign strategy that seems to be dead.

Ever read anything he wrote about Mother Teresa? According to him, she was Hell's Angel.

He's not just a great writer, Aussie, he's a master orator as well. Blistering intellect, great sense of humour and a charming man. Unless you likes your goddy god god, that is. Check him out on youtube.
