Predators working in Australian childcare centres
The evolving nightmare involving Point Cook man Joshua Brown which had me calling the 1800 number and waiting almost 2 hour's to find out if he worked at my own child's Point Cook Kindergarten in 2017, lead me to an abundance of sickening incidents involving men working in Australian Child care centres.

The question is, should men be working with very young children at all?
I don't believe so.
I believe traditional gender roles should apply to the care of very young or vulnerable children, persons.
Gender equality aside, it's a chance that we just can't afford to take.

Joshua Brown looks NQR." Special "!!!
Here's a photo of him with his boyfriend, another "inclusive workplace " candidate I expect, given he worked at the types of centres that employed people based on state government inclusion incentives $$$$
Dodgy centres who utilise subsidised employment from state government agencies to practice inclusion and diversity in their workplaces, placing vulnerable people at risk.
It's happening in nursing homes too.
Cheap Labor.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... orker.html
It all sounds good and "inclusive " in theory until something like this happens hu.
How much will this mess cost Victorian taxpayers?
The STI testing of 1200 babies and young children, the ongoing investigation, accomidating the perpetrator, court costs, the therapy and wrap-around services for these children and their families..... what a mess Jacinta, and all in the name of cheap "Labor" and maintaining an inclusive workplace.
There's just some industries where we shouldn't be taking chances with diverse & inclusive employment, early childhood education/care OR ANY CHILDCARE is one of them.
Has this moronic woke Victorian state government learned anything here?
You're lucky my child wasn't at one of these centres, I would be pursuing the policy that made his employment possible rather than the freak itself.
Equal opportunity , diversity and inclusion is fine, I support this, but we shouldn't be taking chances with vulnerable people who aren't able to defend themselves or even verbalise the abuse they've endured.
Trump was right about harm that could potentially come from woke "incentivised" employment.
He wasn't just referring to incapable airport traffic controllers.

Re: Predators working in Australian childcare centres
The real issue is the process in which these freaks are facilitated into positions by a woke " equal opportunity " whereby increased phone security or a nation-wide approach concerning working with children's checks won't achieve any meaningful change.
This is simply our governments knee-jerk response to horrified onlookers, trying to reassure parents that it's now safe to leave our children at childcare centres.
The freak had no criminal record to speak of, and regardless of him having uploaded images of himself abusing children, removing childcare workers phones wont stop the abuse of children, it just deters them from capturing evidence of themselves having committed the crime.
If anything, it was this very evidence that captured authorities attention to his abuse of children, had he not uploaded the images, would he have been caught?
Typical of a Woke government now in damage control, not wanting to discuss the " woke employment policy " that enables these mentally ill people to work around kids to begin with.
The shabby western-suburb childcare centres involved, use a pool of b-rate staff that our government provides centres owners with incentives to employ.
It's this incentive that needs to be addressed.
Equal opportunity and inclusive workplaces have their benefits, but when it comes to ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable others, the elderly, disabled or vulnerable ( ie children) they shouldn't be employed because in many instances, their only supervisors "witnesses "are the victims themselves.
Remember, employment is only equal and fair + inclusive when it's equal, fair and inclusive of all, including the clients, who may not be in a position to verbalise what's happening to them.
Can any of you here imagine just for a moment that say you had a stroke, and you were in hospital and required personal care to bathe. Imagine you are taken to the shower, in a shower chair and the Sudanese 7ft tall bubba personal care assistant decided to slip it in. You are aware what he is doing is a gross violation of your rights, but as you've had a severe stroke, you aren't able to communicate this with loved ones and staff, so this occurs day after day, week after week, and this was because a person who writes government policy thought that this would be a great way to ensure this person remains in paid employment rather than on the dole. It's a win for the organisation who employs them, as the government subsides their wage, ( so company get cheap staff) it's a win for our government, who pays the employer less than they would need to keep this individual on government benefits.
Win/win you think?
There's always going to be a hitch, the hitch being that we are compromising on client care.
You see, the fact that this guy had been employed across 20 odd centres in the space of a few short years didn't bother these centres management when considering him for a position at their own centres because they were more interested in the fact that he was cheap labour, cost less that equally qualified others who weren't government subsided to employ.
The workplace culture begins at the top with policy, not with tweaking a few employment rules, ie no-phones or extending their working with children's checks to all of our nation's states and territories. This I thought was a given, something that the police check covers anyway, which this vile creature and his accomplice would have had in order to work with children anyway, so.....
Victoria's woke equal opportunity and inclusive workplace laws need to be omitted from any workplace that has vulnerable persons in their care.
Full stop.

These poor children and their extended families have cost tax- payers a hell of a lot more than the government has saved with their "woke" inclusive workplace policies, let's be sure about that.
I don't believe this to be an isolated incident either, he's just the one who got caught, this time.
This abuse is rampant right across the sector, concerning vulnerable clients of all ages and the kind of abuse is only limited by the sicko in questions own imagination.
You could be next.

Law for the Purpose of Protecting Children from Information Advocating a Denial of Traditional Family Values, commonly known as the Russian anti-LGBT law is a law of Russia. It was unanimously passed by the State Duma on 11 June 2013 and signed into law by President Vladimir Putin on 30 June 2013.mellie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 1:33 pmThe question is, should men be working with very young children at all?

I can add that more males should be working in Aged Care than females due to the physical nature of the job.

Re: Predators working in Australian childcare centres
A former Ballarat primary school teacher Rex Walter Ryan 80, pled guilty to nine counts of indecent assault on Thursday after luring young girls into the school’s photography darkroom and sexually assaulting them.
This man worked at Redan Primary School (now Phoenix P-12) and Wendouree West Primary School (now Yuille Park P-8 Community College).
“The body of a girl that age” was what got him going, he revealed to Police last year. “In that era of my life, who were most appealing to me were probably about eight-year-old girls in grade four –sweet, innocent.”
In one episode, the man took a 10-year-old grade five girl to the Redan darkroom to “develop photos,” then shoved his hand in her pants, touching her vagina, and asked, “Does this tickle?”
Having discovered what took place, her dad went ballistic, yelling, “You animal. You tampered with my daughter!” – but the man denied it all, blaming her for lying over a ball game call.
Another time, he assaulted a girl in the darkroom while she squeezed her legs together in desperation. He also touched another girl between her thighs, luring her with a trip to the photo room.
Having transferred to Wendouree West, he went on to assault three more girls. Once, he forced a grade three girl’s hand into his shorts to touch his penis. During a swim class, he groped another student’s vagina over her bathers.
In a grade five sub gig, he sat next to a girl, pinned her between desks, undid her pants, and felt her up while talking about maths. She said it felt like “the whole lesson,” and her class laughed when her pants stayed undone.
Five victims gave impact statements, with the Judge being very understanding of the horror they endured. The prosecutor slammed it all as a “gross betrayal of trust,” worsened by his denials, calling the girls liars.
This man has a history too – he was convicted for assaults on different girls at Black Hill Primary School, and for a separate attack on an eight-year-old neighbour, serving nine months at the time.
Why was he able to work with children despite being a child sex offender?
Can a Victorian government answer this question?

Jasin, as a female, I wouldn't feel comfortable with a man showering me. Sorry, I think there's a place for males, just not intimate personal care.

I understand this is an ugly topic ladies and gentlemen, but I feel that it's time our state and federal governments did something meaningful about preventing this form of crime to begin with.
I agree with Putins law re- Anti- LBGQ ( alphabets) it's gone past the point of " not offending " them.
We need to keep our kids safe in their childcare centres & schools.
My apologies if this content upsets others here, I understand that this could be triggering, but I think the problem is becoming too widespread to continue pussy-footing around it.
