The Queen has sent a message of condolence to all Australians amid the bushfire crisis — saying she is “deeply saddened” by the catastrophe and sends her “thoughts and prayers”.
“I have been deeply saddened to hear of the continued bushfires and their devastating impact across many parts of Australia,” she said.
“My thanks go out to the emergency services and those who put their own lives in danger to help communities in need.”
“Prince Philip and I send our thoughts and prayers to all Australians at this difficult time.”

Well, Queen Elizabeth, you know where you can shove your useless 'thoughts and prayers'.

How does that work with you and England? Do any of your tax dollars go their? Do they have any authority over you? If so, why aren't they sending you help? If they are going to "govern" you they owe it to you to provide a service when there is a need that the public cannot meet privately or individually.
Maybe I just don't understand the relationship.

Tex, it's all just ceremonial BS. Her head is on our money, the union jack is on the corner of the flag, that's about it.
I'm cool for us to become a republic when she dies.

You traitor - the Queen's prayers are very powerful.
Already today we had rain in Victoria - it's cold.

Australia is a self-governing Dominion. Basically that means we are an independent, sovereign nation, separated completely from UK control and government. We achieved Dominion status when we became a Federated nation in 1900 before which we were six separate colonies. In 1942, we enacted the Balfore Statute which effectively removed nearly all remaining links between Australia and the UK legally and Governmentally. The remaining links were finally severed in 1986 when we passed the Australia Act. Effectively, from 1900 we have governed ourselves without recourse to the UK. We have appointed our own Governor-Generals (Head of State) and we have elected our own government(s). We have never paid taxes to the UK.
The Queen has been our monarch since Australia was first established as a colony. We have had a long push to become a Republic and even held a referendum on it in 1999 which was defeated. Nowadays, many people seem to believe that we will become a republic after her death.

It's possible that her prayers were answered but I can't prove it.
She did however pray and we immediately had rain.
