Women playing in men's sport

Post by Black Orchid » Thu Jun 06, 2019 6:46 pm

A South Australian female footy player from has been handed a controversial six-week ban for playing in the men's reserves team because it was short on numbers.

The Padthaway Lions reserves side was short on players ahead of its clash with Kingston on May 25, so Casey McElroy pulled on her boots to fill the spot.

McElroy is believed to be the first woman to play in the ranks of the Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Football League (KNTFL).

However, because McElroy was 'unregistered', the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) investigated and slapped the club with a $1000 fine.

Under SANFL guidelines, unregistered footballers are not permitted to play.

After the age of 14, women cannot be registered to play in men’s competitions.

McElroy, named the Limestone Coast Women’s Football League’s ‘Best and Fairest’ this year, says she's "devastated" by the decision, which will prevent her from playing with fellow female players in the region's women's league next season.

Women's sports will deteriorate rapidly. How many women will drop out of competitive sports because they have no chance at being successful and earning a living or a college scholarship.

Feminist extremism is the proper phrase.
The one that says the least can often have a very different perspective and hold the answer. The least qualified person may hold the most wisdom. When you don’t have knowledge or experience blocking your perspective, you can see problems and solutions.

Or they could just put a heavyweight male boxer like Joshua or Klitschko against a heavyweight woman fighter and test if equality really works.

Of course not. Trannies are oppressed and therefore must be accommodated and pandered to.

A "cis white" female playing in men's sports though.. unacceptable.
