How do you get a corpse's consent?
This is Kenneth Douglas. From 1976 to 1992, he worked the night shift in the morgue at the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office in Ohio. And in that time, he had sex with 100 corpses. How in the hell is this possible, you ask?
“I would just get on top of them and pull my pants down,” he said.
Now families of the corpses are suing morgue administrators for negligence after Douglas’s semen was found in one of the bodies in 2008–last week, a circuit court of appeals allowed the lawsuit since the administrators were seemingly at fault “for failing to protect bodies in the morgue.”
One family member of one of the victims is kind of put off by the whole thing. “I imagine Kenneth Douglas pulling her out of a freezer, climbing on top of her just like he said and having sex with her,” Antronette Shirley, an older sister of one of the victims, told the news. “This will creep up in my mind until the day I die.”
In 2008 and 2012, Douglas pleaded guilty to several instances of corpse-banging and is now serving two three-year sentences. According to WPTV, the 60-year-old suspect admitted to getting drunk and smoking crack before he could work up the nerve. “It wouldn’t happen” otherwise, he said.
Understandably so.
