A modern survival story.
Mr Allen told his rescuers he had survived only on water from a creek bed that was almost dry.
Detectives believe there is more to the story but have been unable to speak to him.
And a mystery?
I wonder
what more the detectives think there might be to it.
But still, a life saved to celebrate!

I believe he has a mental condition and was voluntarily living in the bush area..ie he wasn't lost

He pic indicates that he might have mental issues. Still hard to believe he could spend 2 months there without being seen by someone

Regardless, the parents of this kid must have been frantic and thinking the worst. Kids do "run away" but it is usually temporarily in Australia, at least. Missing for 2 months plus is usually a murder inquiry. I would have thought.
Think of the parents.

Leave the poor kid alone .. he just wanted to see what it was like to eat grubs and grass-hoppers for a while

Manic Depressive Illness (MDI) now called Bipolar so we don't think they have a mental illness.
I hope the kid has recovered and can be coerced to stay with his parents and take his meds. He will need them for the rest of his life. Provided he does that, he can become an average Jo in the community.
