CB Radio craze
Did anyone here get obsessed with the CB radio craze in the late 70's and 80's?

Not obsessed, but yes I did have a 40 channel CB I got from Dick Smith hooked upto a ground plain aerial at age 14. These days the walkie talkies have the same frequencies/channels, so you can slag off at the road work crews holding up traffic.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

I've never understood the fascination some people have with CB radios. All that crackling - a couple of unintelligible words and then over and out - although I know they don't say that specifically.

It's a man thing, Mantra. Goes with country music, trucks and being "on the road" a lot ... or something. Before CB radios boys/men had crystal sets. Nowadays everyone has a mobile phone, iPhone or whatever. Women will never understand why men do certain things and vice versa. Don't bother about the whys and wherefores.mantra wrote:I've never understood the fascination some people have with CB radios.
