Re: Life
Life, did it go as planned? Not really.
A business partner caused a breakup of our partnership, I was left with $100K in debts to pay: creditors didn't go after the ex partner as he went on the dole. Even worse, we had to sell a big, 400sqm, bluestone villa in Pt Elliot for $147K: it went on the market for $1m a couple years ago. I could have done with half of that, $500K as a nice retirement fund
Before that a prang that caused months of reactive depression. Real nice, NOT! One of three prangs all caused by female drivers--sorry gurls but true
You adapt and survive. Shortly after the partnership breakup the ATO phoned me "You have to come on Friday with $20K in cash!" Imagine my feelings heading to the ATO with $500 in cash in my pocket. Using every trick of negotiation I got out of that one: told them about the villa up for sale and arranged with the ATO that they would garnishee my ex-partner's share of the settlement moneys. Don't think I was unfair to that expartner, prick had stolen plenty of money from the business. Hehehehehe prick wanted to hit me when I saw him shortly after the settlement, like I did poor old innocent him a dirty deed

Re: Life
hehehehehe and how can you not like a dog. At 5.30 I closed the front door to the shop and let Demi out of her cage. We have a tennis ball here which I throw--everything here is solid so not to worried the ball will damage anything. Well, I threw the ball well into the shop and Demi dashed off after it. About 15 minutes later I realise Demi isn't with me here in the backroom and get worried she is doing something she shouldn't in the shop and went to investigate, only to collapse in helpless laughter: the ball had fallen into the basket of the small grape press I rent out. Demi was sitting by it as she had done for all that time, tail wagging furiously
