I saw Arnie is some TV advert not so long ago. Can't remember what it was for, but it was an Aussie one. Obviously TV adverts aren't all that memorable. In one ear, out the other.

The sad thing is I will most likely pay him money and go see it.

I did like the Terminator movies. Particularly the first one. I liked the concept..... it will be our future minus the time travel.

The ONLY Sci-Fi I could grasp when I tried to read my former Husband's massive collection of books, was the Time Travel ones. I tried Heinlein, Amizov, Bradbury, etc The rest was mind boggling for me, I couldn't pronounce the names of the characters, for a start. So I lost control of what was happening .... one needs to relate to the characters to understand a novel.

I can read a book on just about everything (even technical stuff) and get the message. Sci-Fi, nope.

Boxy mentioned one a year or so ago. One of the best one's I read years ago.

The Forever War. It has it all. tech and time jumping. Shows the evolution of tech as time goes on... very clever.

An easy read.
The Forever War (1974) is a military science fiction novel by American author Joe Haldeman, telling the contemplative story of soldiers fighting an interstellar war between Man and the Taurans. It won the Nebula Award in 1975,[1] and the Hugo and the Locus awards in 1976.[2] Forever Free (1999) and Forever Peace (1997) are, respectively, direct and thematic sequel novels. The novella A Separate War (1999) is another sequel of sorts, occurring simultaneously to the final portion of The Forever War. Informally, the novels compose The Forever War series; the novel also inspired a comic book and a board game.[3]

What a load of bollocks.... good for rating no doubt.

Simon Cowell collapsed after being hypnotised by a dog.

The 55-year-old music mogul - who stars as a judge on ITV variety show Britain's Got Talent- is reported to have passed out during the auditions stages of the competition after staring into a pup's eyes.

Simon got up on stage at Manchester's Lowry Theatre on Friday (30.01.15) to meet the German Spitz named Princess after her owner claimed she could hypnotise people with just a glance.

On returning to his seat, the star told fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams he felt unwell and, shortly after the cameras stopped rolling, fell slumped over the table.

The owner was called back and brought Princess onto the stage to wake Simon up.

A show source told The Sun newspaper: "It was the freakiest moment we've ever had."

The TV producer wasn't the only celebrity to fall victim to Princess' hypnotic gaze.

Hosts Ant and Dec also found themselves forgetting the number seven as they counted to ten together shortly after looking into the dog's eyes.
