I was about to hit the sack when a young guy in this chatroom said a plane had flown into the WTC. Of course, I didn’t fully trust that report but staid up longer, looking at ABC/BBC/CNN etc websites. Eventually the report was confirmed and TV showed what had happened, I woke everyone else in the house and we watched all the grim developments, the second plane, the collapse of the towers, the people jumping out the 80th floor windows because the fire was blasting into their offices and all that.

3000 people died, including people in those planes.

What sort of subnormal, juvenile kind of cu nt thinks any part of this is to joke about? Come on Thweety, delete this foul fucking thread. It is truly disgusting!

Lots of people? I hardly think that 6 million compares to 3,000. Do you? There have been many "disasters", various wars and so forth where many more lives were lost. Some even caused by the USA. Why do you think Aussies have ANZAC Day (25 April) and what about 11 November?
There is history to consider. As time goes forward, and the decades pass, and then generations pass, and then centuries pass, history becomes less and less accurate. People forget what really happened.

History! Yes, 9/11 is a minor part of it, considering.
Already the college kids of today in the USA have forgotton what happened on 9/11. They were just little kids then, wouldn't remember its true significance.
That's to do with your education system. One can't carry on about "closure" for the rest of one's life, can one?
So today's generations seeing the event of 9/11 made into a parody on the internet, something to be laughed at, will get the message that it really wasn't that big of a deal and didn't mean that much.
We were all very young once upon a time. I think it is probably time that 9/11 wasn't made such a fuss about .... you had the 10th Anniversary. Leave it be for another decade and then make a big deal about it.
The dumbing down of America, Australia, and just about everywhere else in the free world. The free world won't stay free for much longer, if this kind of dumbing down of history continues.
Dear Annie, the World is not about to come to an end. Don't be so morbid. How is your health, by the way? Hope that you are feeling OK.

Drunks like Naffy should not be allowed to post in the grown–up parts of this board.

staid
/stād/
Adjective
Sedate, respectable, and unadventurous: "staid law firms".
Synonyms
sedate - sober - serious - composed - steady - grave
After you were about to go to bed with the young guy from the chatroom, no doubt the sight of planes crashing into tall buildings made you STAID .... I wouldn't be interested in sex after watching that sort of thing either.

Neferti, it doesn't matter if it was one person or six million. That is not the point.

The point is, in both events extreme violence done to many by those who wanted to take the freedoms of others away, those who wanted to take their lives away for not believing what they believed, or for simply being the wrong kind of people.

You're sick in the heart, Neferti, and I will not allow you to intimidate me on this board. Go jump in a lake, or crawl into a nice comfy bed and read a book, why don't you.

But you will not drive me off this board or discourage me from posting what I believe.

I take the holocaust and 9/11, all the wars and that seriously. They were awful.

Part of dealing with such tragedy is that some of us will throw a joke about an aspect of it not that the event was in itself a joke.

It appears to be that only Jews can do jokes about Jews, black can only do racists jokes, ....etc. The world is not PC and only a minority try to dictate what is an acceptable joke. However jokes and taste (even bad taste) is a very personal thing. If you don't like those sort of jokes I can understand that. there are some jokes I really hate.

I remember growing up with many WWII and racist joke... you know the one the was 3 people in a plane over Germany, and Irishman, yank and Pom and they only had 2 parachutes and a ruck sack...etc and Belgium was a GAS... etc. They are not designed to belittle the event but in many ways makes you think about the issue.

I haven't seen any really bad taste jokes here on 9/11... just some images that people invested time in somewhere in the world that have been posted here.

Monk,
’Atta girl Annie! Vinegar Tits is irksome! A nasty, prying sour old spinster!
Please don't complain when people call you nasty names. All you have been doing is calling people names. The real joke will come when they call you a dog fucker or kiddy fiddler or worse and you lose the plot. Keep calling people names and you deserve all you get.
Always remember what you post, send or do on the internet is not private and you are responsible.

Try and really grow up Brown Noser and ask Thweety the Bad Taste Fairy to delete this thread.

Been called names? Where the FUCK have you been for the last three years?

IQ couldn’t take a week of having his lies torn to shreds.
