The children in this battle were, obviously, deemed the Father's responsibility via the Italian Court system. The Mother, not satisfied with what the Court said, took the children "back" to Australia (where she was born, presumably). SHE committed a crime. The Italian Law says the girls should be with their Father. End of.

The girls are now 2+ years older and the teenagers are kicking up a stink. Perhaps not because they want to be in Australia with their Mother but because they have made FRIENDS at school here? Think about it. At age 13-16 even the thought of having to move house to another suburb and changing schools would make teenagers throw a tantrum!
