Dear Aussie,

You are a little late in involving yourself in the Gerard Baden Clay TRIAL. I gave you a chance and you ignored me.

He has been found GUILTY, got LIFE and in Queensland the mandatory sentence is Life with 15 years non parole.

He can Appeal and will no doubt do so since the QUEENSLAND TAXPAYERS are paying for it but he won't get his gaol time reduced .... LIFE with 15 years non-parole is the least he can get in Queensland!

He can try to try to say he is INNOCENT but, Aussie, if you had actually been following this trial you would know that Justice John Byrne explained everything to the Jury and they came back 3-4 times to have things clarified. Byrne's summation is out there somewhere. Google for it.

Regarding blood in cars. DNA stated that this (see below) was Allison's. She was found 10 days after her murder, dumped and her body was so decomposed at that stage that it was not obvious how she died. Taking pills then walking 14 kms to throw oneself over a bridge to suicide was hilarious. The scratches on his face, the leaves and stuff in her hair (from their backyard) of plants that were NOT growing where she was found ... his continual LIES.

also why was his skin tissue not found under her fingernails?

Her body was so decomposed a cause of death could not be determined. How long do you think pieces of skin under her fingernails would last?

It lasted long enough to determine skin tissue found under a nail was not his, you, fuck, wit. In any event, what would move it? How long would it last. Answer your own question. She was never immersed.

I think it 's a fair cop.

Doesn't meet the standard for a death penalty if we had them.

Meets the standard for a jail sentence.

Hell, he will get out in 15 years. I have suffer more than that with my current marriage so far and iIn 15 years it will have been life.

Gerard was in deep shit. His business was broke, he had borrowed $90,000 from each of 3 friends (i.e. 270,000), he was renting the house (as are his parents), plus the 2 vehicles were leased. There was a million dollar Life Insurance policy on Allison's life. He rang to find out when he could get the money on the day she was found and BEFORE she had been formally identified.

He was eligible for Legal Aid and that is who is paying for his defence. Not to mention the affair with Toni McHugh which had been going on for 4 years and all the other sex encounters he was having when he could ... he was applying online for "discreet sexual encounters" from various sex sites. On the morning of Allison's "disappearance", his father advised him call a lawyer, plus the police (the recording was heard in Court) before they even went searching for her! Plus he rang his 3 mates before ringing Allison's parents to see whether they had seen her, etcetera etcetera. He is GUILTY. They think he suffocated her, loaded her into her car, dumped her, then turned on his mobile phone charger at 1.48 am, when he said he was asleep! I presume that he didn't realise that the police could find out when his mobile charger was turned on!

As far as "beyond reasonable doubt" goes the Jury sought the Judge's advice on that as well as Manslaughter and a couple of other things. I was lurking on a Forum where members were actually in Court and sending messages throughout the entire trial. Plus there were Twitter feeds from various media people in Court. I was also watching the proceedings while the Jury was deliberating for the 4 days before they came to a verdict. Oh and on that Forum where were several people who were Lawyers, Doctors and other professions that know about such things who were also giving their take on matters as they arose. Very interesting.

IF you were all that interested, aussie, you should have taken notice when I first bought up the case in this thread, instead of doing what you usually do, pass comments AFTER the event. You are an argumentative, arrogant sod.

Bloody hell! That is not 'Trial Documents.' It is the decision, made in February 2014, concerning admissibility of various bits of the Forensic Reports/Conclusions.
